Review of: Teton Views Lunch Float 7-Mile
We went on a float trip in Mid September and the experience with Barker Ewing weather were perfect. Checkin was simple and after a 20 minute bus ride we were delivered right to the river’s edge for a 90 minute float. I thought it might be a bit short at first, but the timing was fine. Our guide, Elliott was full of fun stories, facts and humor. We saw bald eagles and a beaver dam. All of the staff were extremely friendly and courteous. It is essentially a “dry” trip but you can jump in for a swim if you like. Our bus was waiting about 20 yards from our end point, so it was about as easy as you could get.…

Review of: 8-Mile Classic Whitewater Adventure
I booked this trip online before everything closed and the Barker-Ewing staff worked with me throughout the process. (We were not sure we would make the trip due to all the Covid-19 restrictions.) My daughter was unable to make the trip and they kindly refunded her fee. Every person I spoke to was very professional. A few things to consider: 1. Wear shoes that can get wet. I found my Tevas to be perfect for the trip. 2. Consider packing a dry change of clothes in a backpack to change into after you raft. 3. Secure your sunglasses. The dollar store in Jackson had sunglass straps for $1 and the rafting shop had nice Croakie straps in the shop. 4. You can rent a wet suit if it's too cold. 5. Leave valuables behind. We had the option to swim and enjoyed the trip because we were not worried about our phones. 6. The bus will pick you up from the shop and you can leave items in your seat. We packed water and snacks and we were happy to have them after the trip was over for the long return bus ride. 7. The bus ride takes a long time. I was disappointed that the river rafting was so short and the bus ride was so long. 8. The guides are wonderful! Ours was very personable and tailored the trip for the kids in the other group. She had them riding the waves from the front of the raft as they squealed in delight. 9. Covid-19 measures were followed. Expect to wear a mask in their storefront and on the bus. 10. Two companies take photos of the rafts. You can view and purchase photos online.…

Oh boy, this was a fantastic trip as the river was flowing and we had some very fun rapids. The fall colors on the river were spectacular plus the wild life: river otters & bald eagles. I enjoyed this trip more than the float trip that I did the previous year. I will definately come back and do another trip next year. THANK YOU!…
