My husband and I took a Whitewater rafting trip this past September with Mad River. We were in a raft with four other people and our guide Christian. A little chilly but it was a blast!! Highly recommend Mad River.

We were in a small raft and our trip was great! It was even safe for my 7-year old granddaughter yet was full of action for all of of us. Our guide, J. R., was awesome and shared lots of interesting facts!

I wanted to see some wildlife on this trip, however, none to be had. The guide would shout out look here and there but I really couldn't see anything at all. He was okay, i guess, but drove us into a strong current and a...More

What a fun day in the river! Ian was the best- expert and knowledgeable. Told great stories. Knew just how to take the rapids for a wet and wild time. Highly recommend for an adventurous day.

We chose the super small boat but the weather wasn't permitting, so we did a small boat which was still fun. They did also reimburse us the extra that we had paid for the super small without us needing to ask, I hadn't even though...More

For teens, we recommend our small boats or our super small boats. If you've never been, perhaps start off with the small boats. If this is not your first time rafting, or you are a fairly active family looking for... More

You should probably call the raft company and ask about times. I think the rafting trip will take 4 hr by the time you get changed back into dry clothes, etc. it is probably 2 hrs to get from Jackson to Grant Village. Might... More

I wasn't informed of any parasite in the river. The water moves very fast and is quite cold where we rafter, find it hard to believe that a Parasite could survive in those conditions. Ask Mad River, they would be happy to... More

Please Help! Which Is Better For Rafting-Jackson or Cody? (3 Replies)
Hi, We have a group of ten, ranging in ages from 13 to 57. We are driving from Cheyenne to Jackson, spending a night there and then driving through Yellowstone to stay at the Shoshone Lodge & Ranch for two nights. Can anyone please tell us which place would be better and which company you would recommend? I've checked out Mad River Boat Trips. Does anyone have any experience with them? We will probably have more time to go around the Jackson area, but can re-arrange our...More
