I rented equipment for 8 adults and 2 children. The pick up and drop off was effortless and the cost was very reasonable. They are located just south of the airport and you pass their shop on the way to and from the airport if you are staying in Jackson or Teton Village. About 2 miles north of Teton Village is an access point for Grand Teton Park. The road is closed just beyond the entrance, but there are miles of snow shoeing possibilities present. If we weren't downhill skiing we were out snowshoeing. I highly recommend grabbing a pair to use during a winter stay in the Jackson Hole area

Our family of six (two late middle aged and four young adults) had a wonderful week hiking and kayaking in the Tetons. Thanks to Teton Backcountry Rentals we felt confident in our response, should we encounter a bear. We picked up bear spray at the airport (against the wall in baggage claim) and had an excellent tutorial in how to use it and how to interact with a bear, if met. The gentleman at the kiosk was limitlessly patient and exuberant in his instruction. It is so convenient to pick up and drop off bear spray at the airport! Well done!

If you're traveling to Yellowstone or Grand Teton by air, you can't bring bear spray with you or take it back home. Renting is the way to go, and for the price of 1 canister you can rent two. The locations are convenient and picking up and dropping off is easy. I'd rent from them again if I were traveling in the area.

We rented the spray in Yellowstone, unfortunately the booth went open at 9 and we arrived 8:15, so we had to wait a bit before we could rent the spray, that was a bit of a bummer because we left early to spot some wildlife. But the man who helped us was nice and very helpful. We felt safe with the spray and had no trouble when leaving the USA with a can full of spray that we had to get rid of. We returned it in Teton Village.

We wanted to rent bear spray for our hiking adventures. We stopped at this place and found the gal already giving instructions to another couple on how to use the bear spray. She stopped and let our group in on the instructions which really helped since we had never used it before. The rental process was very easy and drop off was a breeze. Highly recommend for anyone hiking.

The bear spray rental is a great thing. Above all, it is very easy to use and you are well instructed. Another advantage is that you can return the spray to various locations. You feel much safer when you are out and about with a bear spray. It is certainly cheaper to rent a spray than to buy one. Especially if you are only staying in Yellowstone or Teton National Park for a few days. Great thing

We rented snow shoes on a whim (walked in) and the staff were remarkably friendly and attentive. Copper the dog entertained my 7 year old while we got situated, and we left in about 15 minutes with snow shoes for 5, a quick and clear tutorial on how to use them, and a flexible return schedule. Prices seemed fine, too. Highly recommend!

We rented our Bear Spray from Teton Backcountry Rentals. It was on our way to the Grand Tetons in Jackson and returned it in West Yellowstone. Easy to find the store, knowledgeable staff and reasonably priced rental. Highly recommend! We were prepared in GT but didn't see bears until Yellowstone. It was awesome to watch and photo bears but more importantly, to be protected if needed. Attached is a photo of a bear jumping in a creek about 50 yds from us as we walked along the road at a pullover stop.

Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons were amazing places to visit. Felt safe thanks to Bear Aware and their rental of bear spray. Many accessible locations available. Staff was kind and informative. Drop off was easy and convenient.
