The Big Lost Meadery is the first and only meadery in Wyoming, where mead, regarded as the ancestor of all fermented drinks, is produced and served. The meadery, located in downtown Gillette, is rustic, welcoming and a fun place to relax, socialize and experience a little Norse culture. Mead is is full of flavor and delightfully served in horns at Big Lost. For a unique and fun experience, visit Big Lost Meadery!

These folks are great. Good times, relaxing atmosphere, good mead! Only got 4 stars because they don't have any food to serve. If I could make it 4.5 I would because they do let you bring in your own food.

The mead was great and drinks my out of a horn is awesome. The level of detail in that place is astounding. The leather horn hurts and downstairs game area. So fun!

Passing through Gillette on our way west and we found this Meadery just down from the brewery. Fantastic interior with recyling of the wood, loved the different styles of tables. Highly recommend a stop. The downside was there were only two choices, can't wait until more varieties are available. Jeff, was an enthusiastic and informative individual, thanks again.

A great place to sit and enjoy conversation. The building has a lot of character and the story behind the meadery is very interesting. And of course the star of the whole operation is the mead.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere of Big Lost Meadery. The people that work there are very nice and the mead is delicious! There are also fun games to play. It is a great place to stop by and drink out of a horn.

Not an eating establishment. Food is available from an outside source via QRcode at table. Looks like a nice concept but more tourist than anything.

On a road trip, wanting to experience memorable things...found this place through Tripadvisor.
The young lady behind the counter is amazing, very knowledgeable and helpful.

We got a flight of mead to try, and bought some for gifts.

We also bought freshly canned beer that she canned for us.

Super fun experience.

I got to enjoy this fantastic place when I was on a tour of the facilities. What a neat place and the history of meadery. Awesome tasting too. I would definitely suggest a stop in here. No loud music. No televisions. There is a game room in the basement.

First time tasting Mead, this is a very unique place. They also brew beer. A definite must stop. They serve the mead in cow horns, I preferred the Black miner.
