There are many, many artefacts, many originals in their original packaging. The petrol pumps, signs and advertising boards are also in pristine condition. A beautiful collection of older cars & trucks but with a twist. All the vehicles are nestled in a themed area from a better time: garages, camping, town center (barber shop, pharmacy, gun shop etc) and with all the little period-correct artifacts including a ton of petroliana signs, pumps, tools and supplies. This place is American Pickers on steroids. A local collection well curated and presented in what was an old car dealership in Gillette. Save some appetite they have a little diner-type restaurant on site. I have never seen anything like it. Oh and a nice shop as well. Made my day.Visited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 5, 2024

- Oliver SNew York City, New York11,478 contributionsHistory speaking to youFrom Cody to Sheridan we took picturesque route 16 through Spotted Horse, going first through a canyon, then gorgeous golden rolling hills. As a fringe benefit, we ran into a family of moose: Mom, Dad & Kid munching right off the road. The Museum is located in what appears to be a combination of old gas station/auto shop and is full with spectacular old cars, old signs, old gas meters and old anything you can think of. It’s admission is worth it. But I have to point out that my AMEX was compromised the day after I used it at that place, it might be just coincidence. I’ll let the pictures do the talking. **Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 25, 2024

THis was one of those places that you hadn't planned to visit, but you did, and it made the day.
It's a treasure trove of old automobiles, spare parts, petrol pumps,
Assorted memorabilia from the early days of motoring.
Old comics (Mad magazine, Flash Gordon etc).
And a good line in clothes as well ... and a decent cafe.
bizarre, idiosyncratic and yet somehow truly wonderful.

What a great museum!! It is not only cars, but the history of America is also represented by curiosities in the right setting. The restaurant , entirely in style, serves tasty wraps. The historical value is great and the atmosphere is great. Definitely recommended for only $14.

Wow, what a wonderful find. Anyone that loves old autos, Americana, vintage signage and a good milkshake or latte this is right up your alley. We took a ride up from devils tower. Easy stop off of 90 if your heading cross country.

This was a really great stop! I am so glad we worked it into our road trip itinerary, and only an hour to Devil's Tower. My parents loved walking through and reliving their childhood. So clean and well put together and the family running the museum was very sweet!

This is so much more than just an auto museum. The collection of metal and neon signs, vintage gas pumps and other auto memorabilia as well as a vintage barber shop, bicycle shop and general stores completely outfitted from days gone by. Everything was spotless and shined! They also had an antique store section and a snack bar. We enjoyed every minute of our visit. The ladies running the museum and store were very nice and recommended some restaurants in town for us. Don't miss this gem when in Gillette!

We loved this museum. We have been to numerous Route 66 auto museums...this was the best one yet. I loved the store setting, Hudsons and the drive-in movie. Staff was extremely friendly. Would come back again.
