Stopped by while passing through

Had time to kill, decided to stop. Love seeing the buffalo. Quiet place - seems to be well kept. Peaceful visit.

Getting a little exercise is a good idea when you're on a road trip. This Park is well maintained, the trail is easy and safe. Go stretch it out along the river. Tax dollars put to good use.

We went to Bear River State Park. its easy to get to from Highway 80. There is the pretty Bear River with walking trails and signs to describe the area. There are picnic tables. There is children's playgrounds. I liked seeing the bison in their fenced in area as well as elk. It was nice to see them. There is... More

This is a great little wildlife park, with paved pathways for walks or runs along the Bear River. A small herd of buffalo roam in a large pasture, while a small family of elk hang out in another. The short drive through the park is quite pleasant, and the other visitors are friendly (the bison and elk have 'ignore mode'... More

We were in town to watch high school basketball basketball games and were waiting for the games to start. We grabbed some fast food and were looking for a place to eat it. We found what looked like a rest area and pulled into the parking lot. It was a little chilly so we ate in the car. While we... More

Park your car North of the downtown area and make a walk along the Bear River (Western part of the Bear River State Park). It is a quiet area. In the summer you will feel refreshed after an early morning stroll.

I was just in Evanston for one day (including an overnight) and have been traveling all month for business. This walkway did wonders for the fatigue of living out of suitcase. I am a runner so was looking for a running trail, and this was just perfect. Even in winter, the trail was well maintained (one caveat, us winter runners... More

Some visible wildlife on day I visited. Fresh snowfall probably chased everything but buffalo into cover. Nice facilities, undoubtedly would be perfect for a picnic or BBQ weather permitting.

While visiting family, we went to Bear River State Park to walk the river trail. The park has a nice trail system and the trails are easy to hike. Before we left, we saw a few bison and elk. This is a great spot for family to gather for a picnic and a little exercise.

Driving west across Wyoming there is a lot of not much to see. Arriving at Evanston, there is a small Bear River State Park, a special "river walkway" along the Bear River. There is a small herd of American Bison and a very small herd of elk. It is a nice park-like setting. A walk along the river walkway is... More
