When we parked our car, we saw a huge shelter with picnic tables. We first had to cross the wooden bridge. We had a great view on the river. Some people were enjoying the river by sitting among the rocks that were in the river....More

I walk my dog at the Bear River Park almost daily. It is a beautiful, peaceful place to walk along the flowing Bear River. If I am really lucky, I see moose, deer, rabbits, etc. There are 3 beautiful elk and a herd of bison...More

There is a good variety of trails here, including paved walking trails and dirt trails for hiking and mountain biking. You can take it easy staying low along the river or make the climb to the top of the buttes for a good long distance...More

Well-kept park/trail. Very clean and well maintained.Wildlife didn't exactly abound throughout the marshy banks of the river. Several small waterfalls sound great babbling along!

We stopped here quickly to snap a picture with a Welcome to Wyoming sign and take a potty break. The bathrooms were very clean and attached to a little visitor center with mounted wildlife of Wyoming and a few small Wyoming souvenirs. Nearby is the...More

Good hiking park. Would be a great place to have in your backyard to hike with dogs. The river was peaceful in the early morning. Also a great picnic location. Nice stop on a long drive from NV to and from Colorado

Beautiful area, with recreation and a nature fix. Didn't get to see any wildlife (other than the human kind). Might get a bit crowded with large pickups and other rec types of vehicles.

Mini TR: Airport Days & Bear River Rendezvous 08/28/10 (5 Replies)

Welcome to Wyoming! I'm sure just the weather is quite an adjustment from Page. It's terrific to have someone on the boards based in Evanstan and hope that as you get your bearings and start to explore that part of the state you can become a resource to visitors with questions about that region.
