What a beautiful and sweet performance of the Nutcracker. I have seen the Nutcracker at least 25x in my life by professional and amateur companies and this performance was one of the most memorable. I loved how you worked the little children in as they add such charm. But the dancers and the costumes were fantastic. I bought my 89 y/o dad, and he loved it as well. Congratulations on 25 years and I hope to see many more years of this wonderful show. What talent even in our small town of Cody.

What I enjoy most: this organization intrigues youth enthusiasts to perform, perform in front of people, work with young and old alike, follow direction, take responsibility to better themselves even if some of these youths don’t know that yet.
Also respect to the whole organization to bring this to our area. Long hours, determination, and love.
Thanks you all so much!!!

Tchaikovsky and Petipa (the Russian ballet master) envisioned the Nutcracker as a sumptuous, enjoyable fantasy for children (and adults) -- and the Rocky Mountain Dance Theatre has always lived up to that vision. Using the wonderful music and generally keeping to the Nutcracker theme, Ms. Fernandez manages to rescript the traditional ballet so that everyone, of every age and every talent, can join the fun on stage--and usually to the great delight of the audience. If you are familiar with the traditional professional performances, then you will be amazed at how she manages to choreograph something for all student levels, and still keeps the ballet together.

In a town of 9500 it is astonishing to see such a good performance, masterfully directed and choreographed to permit dancing by students of every level. Some of the older dancers could dance in any similar company (high-school level amateurs performing locally), including companies in California's Bay Area (with which I am very familiar). It is a shame that the audience was mostly older adults (probably parents and relatives). The Nutcracker was intended for young folks, and exposing the young to such dancing would probably entice more young people to participate (Hey! I could do that!). Ballet teaches poise, balance, discipline and a number of other things which will benefit the students for the rest of life, even if they never dance ballet again (some NFL teams had their backs take some ballet training--so there!). It was an enjoyable evening for non-parents (like me) as well. I have become a strong supporter of RMDT for these reasons.

Excellent! Elizabeth has made this a yearly "must-see" event on par with "The Nutcracker". Superbly showcases the dancers talents in a beautifully choreographed ballet.

The local production of Nutcracker is not to be missed! It is truly an amazing show for our little town. I have gone every year I have lived in Cody (except one when I was snowed in) and there is always something new.

We attended this with 2 friends and all of us are in awe at the wonderful production. With a job that took me away through Christmas I was never able to attend and this year i bought tickets and was thrilled at the experience.

After years of going this year seemed to be one of the best. Younger kids learning quicker. This shows that the teachers are really wanting the actors to work to get better and they are staying with the program.
