The best way to experience Cody, Yellowstone, and the Tetons is simply to let Sunny and Michael take care of the entire trip — from lodging to excursions. The house was outstandingly beautiful — complete with the most comfortable, relaxing backyard. The perfect place for that glass of wine. All guides were very knowledgeable and would do anything and everything the could to guarantee our would be the very best. Vicky, our guide for two private tours, was the very best.

We had a great visit to Yellowstone with our guide, Kim. This is the only way that I will go in the future. She did the driving, and did an excellent job, and shared us sites that we never was before (in my previous 4 visits), e.g. Yellowstone Lake oversight with the Tetons in the distance). The park was crowded and the drivers were obnoxious and I would not have been happy if I was driving, but Kim handled it well. I look forward to coming back in the future, and will ask for Kim or her son, Justin.

Sunny was the best guide. She was able to give us a great overview of the lower loop even with road closures not making it easy. The lunch as great as well! Very comfortable and we enjoyed the day so much!

"Guide" ("lived here all his life" but then said he worked in Alaska for 40 yrs) drove us around "looking" for mustangs for 2 hours, stopped at an canyon overlook for pictures...then amazingly drove straight to the F.O.A.L. public mustang access and pointed out horses so far away they were almost impossible to see even with binoculars (could of been plywood cutouts). Quickly drove back to town. 2 1/2 hours of driving, never saw a mustang. Paid over $500 for 3 hours. Even my kids thought it was a scam. Drive around for 2 hours, take the stupid tourists to the public access that they could drive to themselves for free, point at black dots on the horizon, say there they are!! and drive back smiling that you cheated people out of their money.

Hi Tracie, NOT OUR TOUR COMPANY!After going through my bookings and talking with all of my guides.I actually only have one guide that would even be old enough to work for 40 years anywhere let alone in the oil field.I spoke to all of our guides and there is no possible way that it could have been my company. But there is a company in town that recently changed their name to be like ours and one of their owners is in his 60s and has been working in the oil field for all of his life and to my knowledge still does. SO THESE THINGS HAPPEN WHEN COMPANIES TRY TO COPY OTHER COMPANIES AND CUSTOMERS WRITE A BAD REVIEW FOR THE WRONG COMPANY! Sorry you feel this way. This tour has been going since 1972 with an extremely large following of our wild mustang herd.Your guide shared photos of your tour with us last night and it sure did look like you saw a couple of pretty good herds of horses. There is never any guarantee in nature to see wildlife. We have no control over where the horses are.How many you’ll see.How close they are, etc. That’s the reason why it’s a wildlife safari. At 45$ per person for a 3 hour educational and fun tour it’s definitely not a scam.If you read about any company that does the same exact tour or you can look up a wide number of photographers Facebook pages you’ll see that there are thousands upon thousands of people that go on this same exact tour that you went on and understand that this is an educational safari. It’s very offensive to say that my guide was scamming you while smiling on the way back when he showed me photos of your tour and there were horses in it.Also in a tourist community a lot of people work in other parts of the world as tour guides because there is only a few months to our season here in Wyoming.I would definitely recommend that you should find out what a safari means because we have never guaranteed wildlife although most times we do find them. This is not a zoo where the horses are in a fence. But I’d be glad to send you the photos of your group and the horses that the guide shared with us. Thank you for writing in a review.I just love ones like this at least complain about something that we can control like a dirty window or something. Not about not seeing wildlife in the wild.🤦🏼‍♀️

worst experience. very rude staff. Since we (3 adults) never been to yellow stone. So I would like to get more details on the upper & lower tours before booking. The lady answered the call who said that she was busying and will call me back by taking my name and phone number. Yet she never did, so I thought she might misplaced my information. I called back eventually another lady answered and I tried to explain to her what I would like to find out details for the tours for us three. She showed no interests in answering. Out of frustration, I made comments that I guessed the business does not want our businesses then. The older lady yelled at me stating I am so rude then hung up with me. What a worst experience I ever had! So I decided no tours from this company. I do not need to pay $1000 to beg this company for a tour!

I am sorry for this.I answered the phone first I think but with being so short staffed we are out of the office most times doing tours with guests so that they can go out. There are certain times of the day when we have several tours going out rafting,Mustangs,Yellowstone, etc.Maybe the next person you spoke with had a bunch of people trying to go out on a trip.I’m not making excuses and I am sorry it’s just been a chaotic year and we’ve been stressed.I hope that you will give us a chance.I will be in the office today just don’t call at 9,1 or 3

We did the 2 hour rafting. I was highly disappointed because an hour before our scheduled time, they called to tell me they could not accommodate me on my reservation. I was driving 3 hours over for this trip. If I had cancelled on them they would not have refunded my money. They offered no compensation except to book me on a later time. I thought this was very unprofessional- an hour before my scheduled rafting. The actual rafting was good, but k would not book with them again due to this incident. They should have at least given me a discount for my troubles but it was not even an option to them.

I apologize for the confusion. This company no longer belongs to Cody Wyoming adventures. It is now under Rimrock Ventures at Red Canyon River trips.I’m sure it’s just an issue with the new owners getting their bar rings.

Sunny was a wonderful, knowledgeable guide for our small group, lower loop tour. What a great way to see Yellowstone. Highly recommend, if you’d like to leave the navigation to someone else amd get great insight into the park.

We had a mostly great day touring Yellowstone with Dave. He picked us up at our motel in a Mercedes Bus that the top comes off. Great for photographers. It was a long day from Cody to the lower loop of Yellowstone and as 4 drivers pulled out unexpectedly in front of us, Dave did a great job negotiating these idiots. So we saw most of the sights but 1 important one - The Grand Prismatic Spring. When asked why we weren't going to see the spring we were told that "there wasn't enough time and if we had a problem to take it up with my boss". I get it. Its a long day and it's been a long summer working probably more than wanted. However you folks need to get on the same page. The Spring is clearly advertised as a stop and is one of the most important reasons why people go to Yellowstone. I was upset but didn't show it because I didnt have the exact tour in front of me, but when I got back to my hotel I checked and indeed was supposed to be on the tour. Now I didnt complain to anyone because why bother? The next day I went with my wife and did the Spring at the Fairy Falls parking lot taking the short hike up to the overview. It took me 5 minutes to find a parking space. It took 50 minutes to get to the viewing area only because there was a herd of bison blocking the bridge. So indeed there was plenty of time to see the Grand Prismatic Spring especially since there was 30 minutes dedicated to see it on the tour and we wasted our time at a stop overlooking Yellowstone lake and driving by some house at the end of the tour that was just a waste of time. So all I'm asking for is for you folks to get on the same page because we paid $600 for the tour and should have at least seen ALL the most important sights on the lower loop. Others who take the tour deserve to see what they pay for and if there is no time to see it take it off the website as a stop.

I’m sorry that there was any misunderstanding. In nature there is no guarantee on seeing all of the sites. We are limited in time by the federal motor carrier administration. It is illegal for any tour company to be on the road for more than 12 hours total. When it comes to things that happen in the field we can not control weather, traffic, wildlife, etc.I always put in our website that you may see or could possibly do certain things because we can not control things that happen outside of our control,There we’re other people on the tour that may not have been able to do the walk and I trust that Dave evaluated the situation and did the best job possible.Private tours tend to give people more time. When there’s a full vehicle of people it takes a while at stops to get guests in and out of vehicles and some people may take longer than you and your wife.I would always recommend a private tour if you feel that you can do more without a group of people. The majority of our guests this time of year are in their golden ages and we do not feel the need to rush them so we’d rather take our time and they can enjoy themselves.

The added value of a guided tour is the guide. It was with high hopes that my family went on this tour to learn about Yellowstone. It was a great disappointment. Our guide, Andy, was either not in the mood or ill prepared. Did not come further than facts like how many square acres Yellowstone was, or the height oft he pass. No details about the origin of the vulcanic activity, how the mudholes were formed, or any info on the wildlife. All facts we got from him could have been gleaned from a brochure in 5 minutes. Questions were answered in a few syllables, and next to none spontaneous information was given. My daughter could tell more about the caldera from her high school knowledge than we heard from the guide. We drove past all the highlights of the lower loop, but you can do those yourself. No special routes, walks or paths were shown. So in the end we were driven around the lower loop in a new van, with less than adequate leg space for people over 6 feet. We could have done the same in our own car at a tenth of the cost and at our own pace. As you can see from my other reviews I have been on tours in a lot of places around the world. Almost always positive, but this one only deserved a credit for the nice sandwiches.

I do apologize, for the bad tour.Andy has never received a bad review,so as indicated maybe he was having an off day.Not making excuses, but some times people do have off days.As for the size of the vehicle we do offer 15 passenger vans, that we normally only put 9-10 people in insuring enough room for guests belongings and to stretch out.Our vehicles are the tallest, largest vans made.We purchased theses for taller people. They also have reclining seats and can stand people as tall as 6'5',and a center isle.Altough we try our hardest to be accomadating, sometimes you can please everybody.
