Visited Yellowstone with wife and parents. Hadn't been there since a child. Father mentioned that it would be interesting to see old guns that had been found. We stumbled across this place walking the streets. What a great surprise. Owners were friendly. Great displays. Love the history in this place. If you like guns, history, or old relics, you will... The history that's in this place, was not just awesome, I was totally awe-struck! Every War we were in was an amazing experience. Good for families, but probably not for little ones, because this place is huge!

This is a free museum, run by a genuine enthusiast, it survives on donation and gives you a real insight into how important the gun has been in making America. In these days of such anti-gun feeling you might feel this is not for you, but that would be a mistake, it will give a real feeling for just how... More

Novel display of old guns (rev war, civil war, Indian war, etc). Have to wonder about the stories behind them. Parts broken, barrels blown up, some still loaded, are just a few of the conditions that were found. The owner has his own thoughts on the history of the gun owners and their roles out West.

Found on Trip Advisor, this a museum like no other. 100's of dug up artifacts, mainly guns, in their dug up condition from the past couple of centuries. Catalogued by time-line or era, a very interesting look at our past from the perspective of fire arms. A free museum with a donation jar at end. This couple deserves a $5... More

A must see, plan 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Highlight was a never seen (by me) rare World War 1 maxim water cooled gun.

It's free but had a means for a contribution at the end. The dug up salvaged mostly funds are interesting but in poor shape. Of course that's in keeping with the theme. Recovered weapons are from prior to the civil war to WW1. It's a self guided tour of about 12 glassed in cases. It's worthy of a short visit.

My husband and I visited while on an overnight trip in Cody. It is free admission but I suggest leaving a donation. You can spend hours in there. The man who runs the place is very personable and willing to talk to you about all of his treasures. There are guns and other stuff that have been dug up from... More

I have been to this museum the last 2 years when I visited Cody. It is free and has wonderful "finds" I like that they leave everything as it was found. I know I will visit it the next time I visit Cody. Always something new to look at. It's a "must see"

Probably the fastest 2-hours I spent on this summer's vacation. Very cool displays of dug up guns and other items that tell of specific times and events in our nation's history. If only dug up guns could talk, the stories they could tell!! A fascinating, educational, and downright cool place to visit. Don't miss this hidden gem of a place... More
