This museum was so interesting to us. It has an amazing collection of items that were found in the dirt, and they all have a story. Everything is labeled. We got to talk to the owner and he is really nice and knowledgeable. Looking forward to going back.

A nice little museum and interesting history! A must see if you are in Cody! (Not handicap accessible - entrance involved a flight of stairs. No elevator.)

We were so disappointed when we thought the museum had closed for the season, but fortunately they put their sign out, and we realized the door was unlocked! This is the one attraction my husband really wanted to see in Cody, and we were not disappointed. It's a smallish room, not tiny, but not as big as you'd think for... More

Nicely displayed firearms that the owner has dug up and collected over 30 years. These were found in various areas. Small museum.

it's small but not TOO small and even if you're only slightly interested in historical gun artifacts you'll be intrigued by all the displays and the obvious amount of work that has gone into obtaining facts and data to explain what you're seeing, very cool.

We stopped in this museum while out shopping. The gun museum is wonderful and the owners are very nice and their little dog Harley is a special addition. It shows guns from the 1700s to WWII. Very nice displays with information on each gun. If only these guns could tell the story of their life. Check it out next time... More

We stayed at the Irma Hotel and out our window we seen....Dug up gun museum. At first I thought "just guns"......let's not..... but we did. I found the most interesting collections of guns with stories of who used them, where they were found, age, and actually how they found them. One gun was imbedded in a tree trunk which was... More

The museum is free with option for donation. There's plenty to see and even as a non-gun-fanatic you can easily spend some time here. There's too much to read about every single gun though so don't even try ;)
