Absolutely beautiful and should not be missed on any trip through WY. We had dinner where they had floor to ceiling windows which was beautiful. My only complaint was the meals were much too large for a lunch, and just about everyone threw away half...More

We come from New England and live near the ocean. The Teton's were the complete opisite of what we normally see. The area is vast and clean. Would love to visit again. Freindly people.

Over 2,000 miles of hiking trails are located in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, providing access into wilderness areas and interlinking with trails in Yellowstone National Park. For others who may ask this similar question, yes. Jackson thru the Tetons, then Yellowstone will be a little over an hour, almost two. All depending on traffic (people slowing down to take photos, or see wildlife). Tetons... More

Honeymoon 25 Oct to 2 Nov (1 Replies)
We are going to be in the area for our Honeymoon from 25 Oct to 2 Nov. We will be staying in Jackson at base of Teton National Forest. We plan on visiting the Teton National Forest as well as Yellowstone during our trip. I know being this late in the season there will be a lot of places closed but have to make the best of the dates we made. Any recommendations of what we can do around this time and also if there is something that we just won't be able to do. Appreciate any input that you all...More

Map/Location for camping in Bridger/Teton National Forest (1 Replies)
I've been trying to locate a good map online of the camping areas in Bridger-Teton National Forest. Nothing too helpful on the National Forest Website. The National Forest is my back-up plan if we get to the Tetons and are choice spots are full, and we want some privacy/seclusion. Trying to figure out were would be the best place to access the National Foest and set-up camp (whether in a campground or an open area off a side road). Any suggestions? Thanks

Route 89/191 south of Jackson closed due to wildfire (13 Replies)
"A fast-growing wildfire closed the highway through Hoback Canyon on Sunday afternoon and brought a quick response from firefighters. The Cliff Creek Fire was reported at 2:30 p.m., Bridger-Teton National Forest spokeswoman Mary Cernicek said, and quickly grew to 500 acres, burning on both sides of the highway. The fire is about 5 miles from the town of Bondurant. The Cliff Creek Road, a dirt road heading south from Highway 89/191 and a popular camping and recreation area, was closed and...More
