Was a very nice trip. Our tour guy was very energetic and very fun to listen too. He had a lot of recommendations to what to visit or food to tryout while we were on vacation. And we did!!! Places he recommended were awesome. We highly recommend to do this Scenic city tour before any other tour in Dells because you can see the location of the places of attractions as well of restaurants. Bring your camera and when the tour guy recommend any place take a picture so you can google it after and find the directions.

We did this tour for a friend’s bachelorette. With everything going on, our numbers kept changing and they were more than happy to accommodate. For only $20 more a person we got a private trolley so we could more safely social distance. Our tour guide called himself Grandpa Jim and he was the best! Super funny, laid-back and flexible with the schedule when some of the girls needed to go home. Thanks for a great experience! Highly recommend for your next event in The Dells!

We had a girls trip to the Dells in early October and six of us were on wine trolley that included two tastings and a lunch out. The weather and scenery were amazing. Both wineries had extra glasses of wine to buy which were very reasonable -$5. We had so much fun on and off the trolley and would definitely do another trolley experience. The music was loud on the trolley and we had a blast with our driver Todd.

A group of 8 girlfriends and I did the “The Full Winery Experience (Lunch Included)” tour on March 6th, 2021. Though our group, very laid back and “go with the flow”, was able to have a good time regardless, I wanted to point out a few differences between what is promised on their website and ticket confirmations that never actually happened, and some other moments from the tour that caught me off-guard:

From the Dells Trolley Tours website:

- “A scenic drive with lightly narrated with humor and facts about the area on our way through the Wisconsin Woods to the wineries” → This did not happen. Instead, we were given access to a bluetooth speaker for playing music.

- “Wine tastings at the Fawn Creek and Baraboo Bluff Wineries” → We never visited Baraboo Bluff Winery, which was the whole reason our entire group booked this tour in the first place. They never informed any of us that the itinerary changed, just dropped us off at Broken Bottle Winery instead.

They also combined the “Wine Tour Express” and “Full Winery Experience” patrons from that day on one bus instead of two, resulting in it being significantly more snug onboard. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, but considering the pandemic, there was no room for social distancing whatsoever; the bus was completely full. I could tell this made a few from our group uncomfortable.

At one point a woman from our group was dancing to a song that was on to which the driver said, "Sorry, I didn't bring any $1s to throw at you" after earlier making a separate comment about how a different woman from our group would've been "too blonde" to drive the bus. We all rolled with it at the time, but I thought as the driver of the bus, there should have been significantly more professionalism.

My daughter treated me to the Dells Trolley Wine Tour Express for my Mother's Day gift. We were combined with the “The Full Winery Experience (Lunch Included)” tour on June 19th 2021 because there weren't enough booked for our tour.

The lunch at Trappers was suppose to be a pasta buffet. It was a very limited salad bar selection at best, and beef roast and corn for 2 hot items. The dining experience was on of the worst I've ever had. I would never expect that from Trappes.

I wanted to point out a few differences between what is promised on their website and ticket confirmations that never actually happened.
From the Dells Trolley Tours website:

- “A scenic drive with lightly narrated with humor and facts about the area on our way through the Wisconsin Woods to the wineries” → This did not happen. Instead, we were given access to a bluetooth speaker for playing music.

- “Wine tastings at the Fawn Creek and Baraboo Bluff Wineries” → We never visited Baraboo Bluff Winery, we went to Broken Bottle Winery instead. The bartenders were busy waiting on people who had golf reservations and people who were ordering food. We seemed to be a bother to wait on. I would not recommend this alteration in the future.

I have been on this trolley tour before with my daughter and it was a very enjoyable experience. This left me feeling that she was ripped off. I'm not sure who makes the decisions to make these sudden changes. I do know the Broken Bottle was a last minute change made by the driver. I think you should stick to what the website advertises for a tour unless the changes are for the better. Clearly this time it wasn't.

We did a wine tasting trolley tour with a bachelorette party. We paid $70 a person and $20 for transit to and from our hotel which was only 5 minutes from the drop off spot. The driver told us he normally doesn't drive the trolley and proceeded to be on the phone most of the time he was driving. He also would turn around to listen to people talking and took his eyes off the road for almost a minute. The driver also hit a rock and dented the trolley in and was trying to fix it in front of the country club where we had lunch. The trolley itself was so hot with no A/C and windows that wouldn't stay open. All of that isn't awful, it was uncomfortable but it got worse. The driver told us at our second winery stop that the trolley was over heating and that his boss would be there in a few minutes to pick us up in a different vehicle. Ok fine, glad you're on top of it. Fast forward to 20 minutes later he's on the phone with his boss and tells us his boss hasn't even left yet. Awful communication the driver didn't even care that we were all standing out in the heat. He decided to just drive the trolley back and said "if it explodes, then it explodes". That made us feel really safe. Then finally we make it back to the meeting point where everyone else just drove but we still needed a ride back to our hotel. We tipped the driver because the trolley over heating wasn't his fault and hoped that he would hurry and grab the other trolley sitting in the parking lot about 50 yards away. We are once again standing out in the sun waiting for the driver and he decides to start working on the dent he made in the bad trolley instead of getting in the new trolley to pick us up and take us to our hotel. We had to walk over and ask him to take us back to the hotel and even then he still took his time. The tour was supposed to end at 4pm and we didn't get back to our hotel until 4:30, cutting into other plans we had made for the night. Overall the driver had no care for those of us in the trolley and had no level of safety concern. The only redeeming factor was that the wineries were great as well as the lunch we had was good. Without that, one star. Really disappointed in our experience and how much we paid for such poor customer service.

Felt it was overpriced, & fees at ~20% for online tix was outrageous. Lights were pretty disappointing, except for the big illuminated tree which was the highlight of the experience. The driver (Santa) was friendly, but didn’t really engage much with the passengers. We basically drove around neighborhoods and looked at residents’ light displays. I was under the impression that there was some city wide light display (or displays) set up around town that we would visit, but short of the previously mentioned tree, we literally just drove around neighborhoods. Would have added to the experience if Santa/driver could have maybe told us some history about the areas that we were visiting. Also, the website said hot chocolate, which the kids were excited about, and there was no mention about that on the trolley. So, we did hot chocolate when we got back to our hotel. My recommendation would be save the money and do a self-guided trip if you want to see the lights of the Dells.

The first restaurant we went to for the Margarita tour was amazing and from then on the tour went downhill. The staff was great at the second stop but the drinks had too much syrup in them so no one really drank theirs, then the last stop had no clue why we were even there. We sat at the restaurant for 30 minutes waiting for the staff to figure out what they were supposed to be giving us so clearly there was a miscommunication between the trolley service and restaurant because nobody in the restaurant understood what we meant when we said we were apart of the Margarita tour. After sitting there for 30 minutes our trolley came back and while we were walking out the door the staff then tried to pour Margarita drinks into a cup for all of us, so pretty much we got nothing on the last stop. I wouldn’t recommend this tour again, however I would recommend the first Mexican restaurant we went to because they were on point and the staff was amazing! Personally the pick up and drop off location at Bobbers Island Grille is well worth the stop and overall our trolley party all agreed that we would’ve rathered just stayed there and partied the night away.

This was more of a history tour about Dells. My 4 kids (14,9,7,5) were bored. They didn't enjoy it and our guide was rambling on about things the kids didn't understand and didn't care for. They found waiting for the trolley and watching the 2 fawns play by the trolley was more entertaining and the trolley was boring. Before I booked the ride, I called and talked to them to see if this would be something for younger kids to go on or if it is more historical and for older people. I was told it would be great for little ones also and the kids would love it. Not so much the case. I am sure each guide may be different, but this was something we could have done without during our stay.

Only visited 2 wineries because each visit was too long. Lunch was just ok tasting & we felt rushed eating because it took awhile to be served. Chocolate part of tour consisted of candy shopping at Goody Goody Gum Drop downtown Dells, not the chocolate tasting we were lead to believe.
