if you want to get up close and personal with deer, this is the place. We have visited this attraction many times over the years and it is always fun. I recommend you go when it is cooler, so the deer are more active, and...More
had an absolute ball. slobbery gentle deer were adorable and had no fear as they approached-and nudged-us while we fed them. at but pricy but fun made it well worth it. buy at least two cups of feed-you be sorry if you don't!!
The Wisconsin Deer Park is awesome. It allows you to connect with nature--these great animals--in a somewhat forestry setting. Since deer are normally skiddish, even if you have them in your back yard like we do from time to time, it's very cool to be...More
The tickets cost $14 per person. It takes about 1hour to walk around the park. Money well spent. You literally get to hand feed many deer. They also tell you all about the different varieties of deer. They have other animals too-goats, peacocks, horses, buffalo,...More
Spent about an hour here---doubt i will go back.
this might be a great place if you have older kids---or you are older and just want to spend an hour feeding deer.
that pretty much all you can do here---the deer are very hungry and...More
We had a great experience at the Deer Park. A lot of deer to feed and most come right up to you to be fed. Several different animals to see as well. Park was clean and easy to walk around. Highly recommend stopping with the...More
We were a bit frustrated with this place. We kept having issues with them not being open when they were supposed to. It was early in the season when we were there but still, I really hate there is a sign out front saying "open"...More
The weather started out cloudy & cool yesterday, but by the later morning when we arrived at the deer park it was sunny & pleasant. We had a great time feeding the animals & went back for more food since most of them were quite...More
The Deer Park is "Old School" Dells and still fantastic for young children and animal lovers. A great way to keep kids entertained for at least an hour or two and an experience- feeding friendly deer- that really cannot be done anywhere else.
We leave in a few weeks for the Dells. I'm debating whether we want to check out Timbavati Wildlife Park, or re-visit the Wisconsin Deer Park. The kids would really like to see the Deer Park again (we visited it two years ago), but I like to check out something new each time we go. We're thinking this might be our last trip to the Dells for a while (want to try someplace new next summer), so this could be our only chance to see Timbavati. Has anyone here been to both? If so, how did they...More

Do not bother with Timbavati. There is very little to see and at $18.95 per person is a rip off. We got in for free with passes from Kalahari wished we had not wasted our time.
Weekend Trip Report (1 Replies)
We just got back a few hours ago from our three day trip to the Dells. It was myself, my husband, and our three kids ages 9,9,7. We also met my Mom, Dad, brother, and sister-in-law there. Friday: We got up early and were on the road by 5:20. We live a little over three hours from the Dells, so with a few bathroom stops along the way were there shortly before 9:00. Perfect timing, as we were there right before the WIsconsin Deer Park opened, which was our first stop. The kids loved it!...More

thanks for sharing the fun report. You enjoyed some of our favorites--Cracker Barrel, Famous Daves and Paul Bunyan's. The Upper Dells Tour I remember from years ago enjoying it. Glad to hear you enjoyed the deer park too.

We're coming to WI in June and plan to base out of Madison. We've done the more major attractions on previous trips. This time we plan to see the following: -House on the Rock -Old World WI -Jelly Belly factory -Devil's Lake State Park -Wisconsin Deer Park -Bradford Beach Do you have any suggestions or tips for visiting these locations? I'd also appreciate restaurant suggestions which are kid-friendly, clean and reasonably priced near the Jelly Belly factory. Finally, it seems like...More

Hi, DE-Milwaukee: Thank you so much for the info. We'll take note of the restaurant suggestions. We've been to Milwaukee a few times and have done the Domes, botanical gardens, Art Museum and the Betty Brinn. The prices at Discovery World gave me sticker shock, so we're bypassing that. Basically, the plan is to pick up a friend in Milwaukee and drive down to Jelly Belly together. We didn't know how much time we'd have left for additional touring once we got to Milwaukee. Are there any...More
