About
Wizard Quest is the leader in computer interactive games played in a live setting. The setting is a 30000 square foot fantasy, themed labrynth (we call it the quadrasphere). Your goal is to help as many quest givers you can in 120 minutes. To do this you must find answers to riddles and questions that are given to you on your tablet. The answers are found in the realms...Some hidden, some obvious and some not so obvious. The quadrashpere is full of secret passages, hidden entrances and a mirror maze.

    Excellent Fun!
This place was such a fun and unique family friendly attraction! Our family of 5 with children ages 8-12, really enjoyed playing the games so much that we came back a 2nd time just to complete all the quests! We loved all the secret passages and all the scavenger hunts and riddles we had to figure out. It was just really great and all those working there were friendly and helpful! If you're looking for unique family fun in the Dells, this is definitely a good place to visit! It may be an inside activity, but you will get a workout by searching the huge building for clues! Great for all ages but definitely a winner with families wanting to work together with their kids!
The wizards are pleased that you took time to leave this review! We definitely aim to be a family experience

A lot of family fun, lots of back and forth up and down stairs, scavenger like tasks
We were a group of parent and kids 4-19, almost no instructions lost us a lot of time at the beginning, there is a huge learning curve and they really need to inform better at the beginning. We had so much fun and were from out of town that we bought a second session to finish all the tasks. It was frustrating not to be able to just buy more time and not loose our progress, but we made it work. For a group of 6 there should be more than one flashlight, and some of the repetition in the instructions needs to be streamlined (you know its bad when your 4 year old says "come on, come on, we know that already." but it was a fun team activity that had us running up and down stairs for hours. Pretty environments and something different to do, probably too simplistic for an only adult group though.
Thanks for the feedback and the details of your visit! We try to take all feedback into account when we discuss changes and plans for future quests

    Fun experience
How fun! Our 8 year old saw this and was determined we had to go. I'm glad we finally said yes! What a cool experience! We completed 3 quests in our 2 hours and probably could have squeezed in part of another, but we were tired by then (we went at 9pm). We continued to walk through so our son could look around though. There are 4 magical realms and different quests within each one. Personally I thought fire was boring- or our quest was- but air was very cool and water was fun too. It wasn't cheap but considering we spent 2 hours there we felt we got a lot for our money. Also fun that you are supposed to touch things, explore, find hidden doors and passageways, etc. Very fun for a kid and adults too.
The fairies and gnomes are glad that your family visited the realms! We think Air Realm is pretty awesome too

    Great for teens with imaginations
My teenage daughters and I participated in this activity, and it was amazing! It was the highlight of our visit to the Dells. It is like an escape room meets the Renaissance Fair. One thing that I didn't see stated is that you have to be in pretty good condition. There are a LOT of stairs and small secret passageways. We were physically exhausted after the 2 hour event.
Thanks for visiting, Jenny! You're right, there can be a lot of physical activity. We hope you had a good time

    Top rated for ages 8-12
We took our three girls and while it was too much for the 6&4 year olds, it h Was perfect for the 8 year old who wanted nothing more than to sprint from challenge to challenge in order to get the clues. It is initially very overwhelming with almost no training on the tablet but once you get it figured out then it is simple. The key is to knowing where you are and how to navigate the spaces. There are tons of secret passageways to explore as well as hidden gems to discover. The earth element and fire elements were my favorite.
Thanks for leaving a review and for the feedback! We try to take everything into consideration.

Worth the money in my opinion. There are 4 realms Earth, Air, Water, and Fire. You have a tablet and black flashlight they provide. Your mission is to complete as many quests as you can in two hours. Very interactive game for the whole family.

    Family Fun!
We had a blast! Our group was a mom and 9 and 11 year old boys. The setting is amazing with lots of fun nooks to find. The interactive tablets worked well. Quests were a variety of levels, challenging but not too hard.
That's great to hear your group had fun, Megan! We always love to hear when guests have a good time.

Great time for pre- teens and teens and adults
My family had a great time with this big scavenger hunt; not really great for little kids o would say- too much reading and running around. Multiple iPads are a must if you want the best experience in a larger group. My 13 year old son had his own iPad while my husband and I had another one; much more enjoyable going at our own pace. Ask about how to use the inventory
Great review! We're happy to hear your family had a great time!

    Family vacation
A little hesitant at first with the price of admission but it ended up being a wonderful experience for my family. My kids 6,10,and 12 loved the experience. It was busy but you didn’t notice how many other people were there. We only seen a couple of groups more than once. The quest was fun for the kids to figure out things and where to find them in the four different realms. My only regret is that we went to late in the evening and the kids were starting to lose interest by the end.
We're glad you decided to give Wizard Quest a try and we're thrilled to hear you had a wonderful experience! It can be hard to hold the kids' attention later in the day

    Great time for the family
Such a fun time. We failed our first mission as we were learning, but after that, we managed to do 4 others. We cannot wait to go back! I was, at first, nervous because I wasn't sure if our kids 12,12, &17 were going to enjoy it... but they were sad when it was over. A great time... beautiful sets... a great experience.

I had a family friend come from Iowa during the Christmas holiday. I live in the Dells I had never been to Wizard’s Quest assumed it was for children. As a 57-year-old person I had not only fun but was challenged intrigued and inspired by the realm of the play. I seen families with Toddlers to teenagers everybody was involved everybody is doing their own thing their own challenge I can’t wait to go back and try a different course of challenge or perhaps finish the one I was on.

The co-pilot and I haven't been to the dells in a year or two, so played hooky on a Thursday of spring break and went to visit the new and improved Wizard Quest. WOW....just.....WOW. 100% A+ fun. If you're a puzzle solver at all, you'll love it.

The amount of time that went into the design, construction, and decoration of this place is mind boggling, and worth every minute. I'm 48, the co-pilot is 20, we've been to the old location numerous times, and trust me when I say this one is dynamite.

You explore 4 realms with the guide of a tablet, looking for clues, solving puzzles, finding hidden doors, exploring, etc. It's very well thought out, and really quite logical as the game progresses.

Although there were quite a few families there, I personally don't feel this is a place for young kids, as the quests could be quite confusing for the little ones, and I'm sure their attention span isn't the greatest. We all know how the littles like to whine cry and make noise when they start getting bored. It would be nice if there was something just for them besides the general "wow" factor of the looks of the place. There's also a ton of walking and steps, so no strollers / walkers / wheelchairs.

That said, we will DEFINITELY be back. It's worth every penny.

Got scammed by their partners over at Ripley's on the package price. Then after paying an additional $60 to get the wizard quest tickets (was told it would be $30), they told us that the blacklight little flashlight isn't included if you purchase combo tickets and that we would have to be charged extra for the flashlight. Half the quests don't work without the flashlight either.

Also, the tablets are buggy and we lost 10 minutes of time during our quest because it just removed it from us. I like the look of the new location, but nickel and diming is frustrating, especially when they know their software is buggy, they even told us so.

We were in Wisconsin Dells for an entire week. We discovered this gem on the day before our last. It was probably the best experience we had the whole time. The staff were very, very helpful. You definitely have dedicated employees. Only thing I wish was different was the ability to "buy" extra time. It was me, my wife, and our 5 year old daughter. We felt like we literally had to run to complete the mission. We want to come back on our last day to do the hardest mission but I know we won't be able to finish it. If we could pay for 2 hours at the beginning and take our time it would be more enjoyable.

This was our second trip to wizard quest as a family, we went there last summer as well. It has changed a bit since the last time that we went. Last time Dragon quest the easiest quest had no time limit and no guidance, basically you wandered around pushing on walls hoping for the best. We had fun and it was a nice break from the heat. We enjoyed it enough that we wanted to come back because our kids had a lot of fun, but as the dragons don't change locations basically the only choice was to increase the difficulty and move up to the apprentice quest.

So when we returned this time my husband was going to do the apprentice quest with our 7 1/2 year old, while I made sure we didn't lose the 5 or 2 1/1 year olds with a baby strapped to my chest figuring I would let them mostly explore and we would just do the untimed dragon quest. Well it turned out that dragon quest changed so that it was limited to an hour as well, however it is no longer blindly searching you are given easier things to search for and each of those things give you a clue to point you in the right direction... so granted we already knew where they were, but it still took us about 30 minutes. After completing our quest my toddler had a grand old time going down the slides again and again, which was an excellent way to burn off some of his energy in winter.

We found out that they purchased more land and are either going to have a second location or are simply moving to a larger location. I am excited to see what the new one looks like.

The changes to dragon quest I feel are mixed, I think for families with little kids a time limit kind of sucks because kids wander off and sometimes shoes get lost in the ball pit all of which comes out of your time, I think that some people would prefer to wander and explore without the provided hints, granted I thought having a bit more direction this time was nicer as we really spent a long time looking for things last time.

I can only speak to the apprentice quest a little bit as I only helped out with that one a little bit, one of the things you need to find it says is in fire and you can get there from fire or water, but I feel like it is really in water which is rather misleading.

Anyways overall I would say that this is great family fun, I am really glad we went, I'm glad we made it back... the gift shop is great for fantasy nerds like me.

I've been going to the dells every few years since I was a kid and Wizard Quest has been there for a long time. I always assumed it was just another Dells tourist trap. I was wrong. On a whim this last trip I took my 5y/o daughter thinking it might be kind of fun for her.

Boy was it! The place is huge, divided into 4 elemental areas each one with its own theme and lighting. You always knew which one you were in just by looking around. You get a tablet which gives you an hour to complete your quest, we did the easiest level in which you have to find the names of 4 dragons hidden somewhere in each area. Its basically a scavenger hunt with hidden doors, slides, tunnels, mazes (including mirror mazes with actual clean mirrors so they really do confuse you) and more. Even though we did the easy level it was still challenging to find some of the hidden areas, but not so challenging that my 5y/o couldn't have fun. I imagine the higher levels are just as engaging.

I only knock off one star for a couple reasons. First, this was during the Covid pandemic. Some staff had masks but not all. Participants were not required to wear them either. I'm not sure if they were limiting the number of people who could be in at one time or not, but we went early and during a week day when there were very few people to begin with. Second, they pressure you into buying a glowstick at the entrance and our 'prize' for completing our quest was a business card good for 10% off the gift store (which you conveniently exit though). I know this should be expected of course, being the Dells and all, but it just feels low nonetheless. Despite that, I'd still recommend anyone going!

We had a better time then we thought we would. There props and mannequins were hand made. Very great for small kids, But if you like art, old fantasy books, and a great environment you will love it. Being a grown up my husband I were not sure if we would have fun. But we did. The staff was very nice and the decor took you to another world. Thanks again.

This was the live action of playing a hidden object game. The scenery is breathtaking and you could spend hours just looking at everything. We completed 4 or 5 quests in the 2 hours, but would love to go back and try to do more. We were so engaged that we forgot to take pictures inside! The little kids we saw there were not having much fun, but for 8 and up, this is a fun family activity.

Was a great time. Would work a little better if groups were staggered. But overall we had a good time. We did the medium difficulty and were able to finish the game with 20 mins to spare. Our group was 2 parents and 4 children. 2 of the children were little ones but still were engaged and had fun. We will return.

So we had 4 children one of which was 16 playing; however, us parents wanted to go into the game with the kids to watch, not participate, and had to pay an extra $25 each just to be with them. I don’t think that is right!! Glad it’s a one time deal. We will not come back.
