This was our 2nd time on the Wild Thing, the first time was about 4 years ago. We always enjoy and highly recommend this tour. It's a mix of information about the history of the lake and cliffs, in the no wake zones, to a whole lot of fun once you exit those zones. Two pieces of advice (after learning the hard way the first time), you will get wet, probably soaked, so dress appropriately and go on a hot day. Also, if you are looking to get soaked, we've sat in the 2nd row both times (by luck) and it looks like we just jumped out of the lake by the end of the trip. Also, they provide tubs to keep items dry, so feel free to take your phone, wallet (for tip), or put a dry shirt or bathing suit cover in it.

This boat ride was an amazing experience especially for what it cost. All the way from the bus Driver to the ship boat captain this event was extremely enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend you try this event while you’re at the Dells.

Captain Martini had a great tour, informative at times about some of the core rock formations that were great to see, but gave what people paid for (getting wet). Quite a few 360s and power stops made this boat ride drench the entire group. Process pretty quick: buy tickets/check in at Army Ducks HQ on Wisconsin Dells Parkway, relax/enjoy (overpriced) food and drink/hop on a school bus for a 5ish minute ride to the boat dock. Only thing that was less than stellar and ought to have been mentioned is the walk from the bus drop off to the boat is a moderately steep hill that is unpaved. This would've been good to know before committing to this tour for those who have mobility issues navigating an unpaved gravel road.

Hands down, probably one of the best things I've ever done in the Dells, maybe even anywhere! Soooo much fun!!! I would Highly recommend doing this. Nothing like moving fast on the water, stopping on a dime, doing a 360 & getting soaked!! Sit in the first 2 rows if you want to get soaked head to toe. Make sure you either stow your stuff in one of their waterproof bins, or bring a ziploc or something waterproof.

Incredible fun for the family. My dad wanted to take the grandkids and my wife and I for some fun before school started. Fun it was! The driver was very entertaining and really makes the trip fun.

Expect to get very wet. If you want to get photos or video during the ride, have a totally waterproof phone or have it in a waterproof case of some sort. Also anticipate that you might need to hang on with both hands for some of the turns and spins so you might not be able to hold on to a phone.

Our 10 year old is becoming more adventurous as he grows up, and we were thrilled when we saw this boat tour. This definitely is a little more our speed (pun intended). We appreciated that it tied in educational info in between the massive splashes. Overall they run a very fun & safe program. Our captain was excellent, and the length of the tour was about 45 minutes…. Which was perfect for us. Highly recommend this option over the ducks if your looking to get your heart pumping, and your body wet!

I took a group of 7 adult individuals with developmental disabilities and we had a blast on the wild thing. Captain Jake was fantastic and he played some great music. Only wish the ride was a little bit longer it was so much fun. You will get wet, really wet so have towels in the car, wear comfy clothes or a swimsuit and don’t care about your hair as it is going to get wet. Thank you captain Jake for a fun afternoon “Shake It Off”.

These are a must do if you’re in the Wisconsin Dells area. Captain Tim was amazing and hilarious. You will definitely get wet, which was very refreshing in 90 degree weather. The sudden stops and sharps turns were so much fun. They do provide a small container to put a few belongings into if you don’t want them to get wet, which is located under the seat in front of you. I would absolutely recommend this activity!

BEST entertainment in town!!! I brought two 12 year old girls who had been "tough customers" at other events in town. These two LAUGHED, screamed, sang songs, you name it!!! We ALL had a blast! We did the Bigfoot Zipline and Jet boat. Both were outstanding!! Rick, Emily, and CAPT Jack made our visit exceptionally fun!
