We have an avid railfan in our family, so we try to ride a train everywhere we go. Even though this is a 1/4 scale train, it is by far the best one we have ridden. Everything is run by volunteers, and they really love their train. The ride is about 45 minutes long, and they even have their own... More

This place is great for kids. A lot of fun of raiding train. Moreover if you will ask workers there thay show you and your kids how they repair the train and thay tell you history of this train track and place. We will come back again. Thank you them for kepping this place and giving a lot of fun... More

Our family really enjoyed the trip. The scenery was pretty, the ride relaxing, and the conductor was happy to answer all our questions and offer lots of interesting details on the history of the railway. A nice break from the usual Dells attractions!

Well we thought that this was a steam train and it would be a tour. It was just a miniature train and the steam engine supposedly started running the next day. It was also no a tour.....it is just a 1 mile train ride where there was no taking done. My 4 yr old son loves trains, and he said... More

My boys love trains, and they were so excited for this ride. The train was beautiful, and the ride is long enough to satisfy and short enough where my kids didn't get bored. They had a short, informative talk about the history of the non-profit and the engine they were using, answered all questions, and we could tell they really... More

This could not have been a bigger waste of money. Ever our child fell asleep through it. There is zero commentary and no interaction. You ride from one side of the track to the other and you are done. You get to view a few trees and the road below. To make things worse the driver literally complained to the... More

We loved this little museum! The prices were decent and they took you on a decent little train ride which our son LOVED! They have a little store with lots of Thomas trains and a train table to keep the kiddos busy while they are waiting to ride the train. The volunteers were AMAZING! They had so much knowledge and... Love this place. All about the trains, children and family. This was our second year we visited and decided to make it and annual stop. Reasonably priced and can spend a bit of time there besides the ride. Little railroad cafe to get a soda, coffee, popcorn, etc. is really cute. Great railroad toy store. Everyone there is happy to... I have a 2.5 year old son that loves trains. This place is fantastic for him and the adults that we bring with every time we visit. The train itself is small but large enough that 4 adults and a child (possibly 2) can sit together in the same compartment. There are sections of the train that are covered and... More
