This was a small sculpture garden in rural Sheboygan from the Wandering Wisconsin sites currently preserve by the Kohler Art Foundation. The grounds are off the beaten path a bit and need to be sought out. There is off street parking at the site. The concrete sculptures are along a small trail that is easy to negotiate providing close access to the pieces. Many of the pieces are religious figures. It doesn't take long to take in the art in this site.

James Tellen created over 30 historic, religious and mythical concrete figures within the woods surrounding his family's summer cottage in Sheboygan, WI. They range is size from miniature to life-size and use the natural environment as a kind of ready-made stage set. Admission is free and there is free parking as well. Fully conserved by the Kohler Foundation, the site also includes Tellen's original log home and "brat fryer" building along with a refurbished Boy Scout house that is used for artists-in-residence programs and workshops.

Came from Green Bay to check out the sculptures. Followed the directions from the Press Gazette which were wrong, but found it anyway. The walk thru the woods was nice and cool. It's crazy to think that who owned this land thought of so many rustic sculptures to make. I am glad it was saved. And it was entertaining, short and now, i can check it off my list.

Lovely woodland garden to walk and view the sculptures. Not sure why someone said creepy and belong in a horror movie. The garden is in a remote area of town and lovely drive getting there. The garden walk is short but worth the visit. I was impressed that someone had such vision to create these sculptures.

Yes it's a little creepy and weird, but its a quick walk through a living example of outsider art. Adjacent to a public preserve for a longer walk. Not everybody's cup of tea but its the type of place that, if you appreciate art, is worth a visit

This place would be the perfect setting for a slasher horror movie. It was very creepy & the sculptures were creepier, than the location; esp. the religious ones.

I saw pictures of this garden in a brochure so looked into where to find it. I am so glad we persisted. It is such a wonderful hidden gem! There is a small parking lot near the site and then you're on your own (with the help of some information provided at the facility) to explore the numerous (over a dozen) sculptures scattered around the lot. If you're so inclined, you can continue your adventure by exploring the nice woods just beyond the garden.

I *highly* recommend this attraction.

Ok ... We just followed our GPS and we arrived with no problem. The concrete people and structures are a bit falling apart. But we loved the idea of it all. We enjoyed exploring. What we especially loved was the wooded area and the path thru the woods. There were a few mosquitoes, i suppose. But even better than that was the eight deer we found who live in these woods. Our 3 - 6 year olds were so intent on looking and being quiet. We visited here after the Bookworm Gardens and were here about an hour.

This place is a hoot! The concrete sculptures are incredibly cool, and cover a range of styles from more religious themed to woodland gnomes and elves to Abe Lincoln himself. The trail from sculpture to sculpture is comfortable to walk and it's a fun little way to spend your day. You definitely need to visit during daylight hours as there's no lights or lanterns to guide your way.

Went to look for this place to check out the great sculptures and walk around. First of all, we would have missed the place the sign is a small sign like one for a garage sale. Then the sculptures were horrible. They are all falling apart and it was a waste of time. Don't bother.
