Visited In a New Light Gallery in August. Even though this gallery is not big, it is packed with expression! This gallery features photography from clients who are working to gain their inner strength, empowerment and focus on the positivities of life. Through the use of photography, clients are able to re-direct their energies by immersing themselves in nature, and assisting them in overcoming inner struggles. There are some truly amazing photographs captured by the clients, and most of them have a description of how the photograph relates to the client for how he/she was feeling at the moment. Many of the pieces are mounted on metal, and also in printed, matted form. There are also notecards, magnets and t-shirts for purchase. 100% of the proceeds of the items sold go directly to funding programs for mental health services for children and families. It is a very reflective place to go and truly offers hope through this creative outlet. Hats off to Northwest Passages for a unique approach to therapy!
