In August, 2018 a group of my friends went to this museum. The exhibit was breath-taking as the artist used empty bullet shell casing to create numerous items. It was intriguing, creative, and very interesting as well as inspirational!!

Fantastic place to visit. Very family friendly with creative space for kids. Excellent exhibits, including world famous Birds in Art each fall. Very nice outdoor sculpture garden.

We never would have expected to find a world class museum in Wausau Wisconsin. Birds in Art is an outstanding exhibit. The museum’s collection is also exceptional. We highly recommend it to any bird-lover and every art-lover!

About an hour is enough to see the chairs exhibit. Other galleries are bird art that is dependent on your interest. The outside grounds are worth seeing in warm weather which shouldn't take more than 1/2 hours. If you... More
