A must see in the winter or summer. About a 2 1/2 mile walk if you walk up the road from the bottom to the observation tower!

Overall Granite Peak is a great place to spend some time on the slopes. Lifts are fast, slopes well maintained, staff members always friendly and a good place to get the kids started on the slopes with on the mountain lesson. Lesson include access to warm up hut where kids can warm up and have some hot coco. Times vary... More

Skiing is expensive everywhere, and Granite Peak is no exception. But the variety of runs is very impressive for a small midwest town. I really appreciated the discounted rates on Saturday nights. High speed lifts rival those in more infamous mountain ski towns. The runs are all well-groomed, and considering the warm winter we had, it amazes me how little... More

This is the first time in five years we didn't go skiing in Colorado. We decided to sneak in a last minute weekend at Granite Peak. Good decision. Colorado mega ski resort it is not, but it is big enough with a fair variety of terrain to keep everyone happy. Most of the runs are steep at the top with... More

Surprised by length of the runs, difficult terrane and high speed chair lifts. Skied here about 30 years ago and they have made a ton of awesome improvement!! They have some specials that just really surprised us even more. We took three road trips this season, great every visit; very nice night skiing too. They have signs no carry in... More

Still a nice skiing / snowboarding venue. Beautiful "mountain" with comfortable amenities. Everyone is friendly. However it's not very affordable except on the certain discount days.

Traveled here with my two teenage boys and it was a great experience for us all. The resort is a good size in that we could easily meet up. The lodge was comfortable and clean. Slopes were very enjoyable. Lift staff was friendly. Bar staff was cordial. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the rental staff... More

We loved the old ski lodge feel with the two large fireplaces keeping the place warm. We went there to watch a band play during the early afternoon. It was on a weekend so the place was packed with skiers. That made it hard to listen to the band and get drinks delivered in a timely fashion. Several times we... More
