Awesome theatre and great play. We went to "Over the hill and thru the woods". The 6 actors were fantastic. We laughed a lot and even cried a little. Our husbands were a little leary at first going to a play but totally enjoyed it. Nice little bar and patio overlooking the water. Hope we can get up there again... More

Saw "Little Shop of Horrors" tonight that was presented by the Sidekick Players at Stage North!!!! Excellent play & loved the intimate setting in theatre. Players were fantastic....has great bar with view of Lake Superior a few blocks away. Had delicious free snacks with drinks. Great bargain for the $$!

Saw a very funny play, The 39 Steps. We laughed all the way through the performance at the farcical story. The 4 actors were very good and each of them were delightfully funny in their own way. If I could, I would see this one again but sad to say I think it only had a 3 week run. I... More

We came upon a brochure for StageNorth and decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did. StageNorth is a professional theater company located in the tiny town of Washburn, Wisconsin. Actors are from Minneapolis. The theater itself is fairly new and owners are from the Twin Cities as well. The theater is small but big on... More

Lots of variety at Stage North...theater, film, photography, music...you can find the out of town artists as well as the local names. Always full of interesting and friendly people!

Washburn has needed a classy place for entertainment for a LONG time, and StageNorth really fits the bill. No dance floor, but tasty cocktails! Good sound and lighting and an intimate theatre for actors and folk artists. It might be difficult to see/hear a funk band at StageNorth if there's no place to boogie, but until the Brokedown palace reopens... More

There is a long narrow reception area, with bar. Nice place to gather before a show. I would avoid the balcony. The railings are low and it's scary.

One would not expect this modern bar/stage facility to be in Washburn after seeing all the historical Brownstone buildings...but it has a killer view of Chequamegon Bay from their lovely outside patio...or the second floor seating! Have taken in quite a few unique shows on our trips to the unique city...my life loves their martini! I marked FEE as sometimes... More

The plays are great, the bar is stocked and the seats have cup holders! Make sure to get tickets in advance because a lot of shows sell out. There's nothing better than a Sunday matinee with all the locals congregating for drinks at intermission. Play schedules can be found online.
