We have seen the Driftless Books & Music advertised and it looked like an interesting place to visit. We were not disappointed. You must see the collection of books on any subject you can think of. There are many different collections to look at or...More

If this bookstore/concert venue was in my neighborhood, I might never leave it. Driftless Books and Music is housed in a converted tobacco warehouse in the unlikely location of a residential neighborhood of Viroqua. Customers enter the store through a series of rooms that look...More

I was very excited to visit Driftless books, but sadly the hype was much better than reality. When we got there we discovered a store that is poorly lit, making it hard to see their stock and somewhat randomly organized. It seems like that when...More

The most beautiful place. I could disappear in there for days, lost between the faint stinging smell of old books and the earthy sounds muffled in my ears behind towers of words that ache to be read. Music and people laughing, this place is always...More

This second hand book store in a former railroad adjacent tobacco warehouse has an incredible selection of books and also offers live music on the weekends. This was our second trip to Viroqua. We made a Scandic folk show at Driftless Books our excuse to...More
