The wines were good but the staff for wine tasting was very rude and in welcoming. Thayer are putting in a great patio out front.

I liked that they gave you your five tastings in a flight that you could enjoy at your leisure. I liked several of the wines I sampled. The setting was not as enjoyable as some since you are by a busy highway.

A lawyer vintner ....... what can you say? The wines were not good. Staff problems. The vintner's wife was lovely and very helpful. Clean and neat. Beautiful interior.

Like others have said, some of their wines are pretty good, some just don’t do it for me. Overall, I feel like all of them are a tad overpriced - especially compared to other Door County wineries that (in my opinion) have a little better quality wine at a lower price.
The new Carlsville location has a very nice ambience and the staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. We usually make it a point to stop here when we’re in Door County, but out of all the wineries I wouldn’t say it’s a must/can’t miss.

Strip mall quality, not strip mall pricing. No ambiance, unengaging staff who made it seem like it was our fault that their website was not updated with business hours.

After visiting other area wineries, we decided to give Red Oak a try too. We were given a list of wines to pick to taste and we sat at a table and did it ourselves due to covid regulations. We noticed that most of the wines were actually California wines. This doesn’t usually interest us as we want to taste real local fare, so we tried the ones listed “Door county”. Unfortunately, both my husband and I didn’t like any of the wine, and couldn’t finish 2 of the samples. We are big on wine but it just wasn’t that good. Go get some coffee next door instead.

A large barn with good but overpriced wine. There are many sweet/fruity selections as well as some dry and blends.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and eager to answer questions and make recommendations. The inner space is warm and welcoming and plenty big for parties.
Be sure to check out the gift shop for all things wine.
Worth the stop and enjoyed the tasting.

Peg knows a lot about wine and food pairings-made the tasting fun! Would recommend this winery for beginners to connoisseurs.

The winery is cute, set up well. It was a busy weekend, and the staff was a bit short tempered. We tasted some, bought a case. Months later, finally cracked open a bottle. It tasted good, but the amount of sulfites in the wine is what you'd expect to find in a $5 grocery store wine, not a $30 local wine. I had a headache the whole next day. I'll stick to the other Door County wineries from now on. Such a shame. Whole case of wine that I have no interest in punishing myself with.

Super nice staff, very attentive and they had a great selection of wines, really something for everyone. I didn't think I wanted to go in, being its in an industrial section of town, but I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful and inviting interior.
