Kudos to Nyla for all the information she shared with us. The Taxidermy display of the four seasons was amazing, especially after hearing of the process involved in putting it together. The kids will enjoy finding and identifying all the birds and animals, as well as other hands on activities for them to do.The displays were very well put together.... More

As you first step inside, a friendly gentleman greeted us and gave us a short overview of the place. It really is a neat place. There is lots to look at and learn about, not only the history of the area, but how life overall was different throughout the different time periods. There is some great hands on things for... More

It's an amazing local museum that's very well done. Entry fee is suggested donation in a jar. Plenty of well displayed items to look at and learn about. Great for all ages, but my 4 yr old grandson especially liked sitting on the antique fire truck wearing a firefighters jacket and hat as well as the jail cell Excellent taxidermy... More

This was a free (donation based) historical museum that had a lot to see. Very impressed with all that they had. Would be great to do on a hot day.

I was very surprised with this stop. The front room is amazing filled with a beautiful exhibit with taxidermy birds and animals. There are plenty of other rooms filled with items to look at, kind of overwhelming with how much was crammed into displays. The fire house room was great. Good place for kids, there was a spot for them... More

The museum wowed me from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. Immediately when you walk in you are greeted by a nice lady explaining the different sections of the museum. The first thing that gets your attention is a myriad of the four seasons of door county along with all the plants and animals that come... More

I walked to this Museum from my hotel and was so pleased that I took the time to visit. It was a quiet afternoon as it was before peak season. I was basically the only one there but it was excellent. The curator was very helpful and knowledgeable. The diorama is spectacular. I will be visiting again as it really... More

This donations-only attraction has a large variety of interesting exhibits of Door County history. We found the museum to be very enjoyable and spent about 2 hours looking at all the exhibits. Don't miss seeing the videos in the theater room. Small children should especially enjoy the fire trucks and the old jail, but may need some parental coaching to... More
