Christine was absolutely fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, funny and enthusiastic about wine. We had a great time, laughed alot, appreciated her honesty and tasting suggestions and left with a few bottles. Highly suggest Door Peninsula Winery’s wine tasting! Thanks for a great start to...More
My friend and I went to pick out some wine for Christmas. We were kind of iffy because we didn’t know too much about wine... but then we met Christine, and she is AMAZING! She is so knowledgeable and hilarious! Because of her, we were...More

This is going to be added to my door county list of must return to. The wine selection was fantastic. We also got a little bit of the fudge since it was a little vacation and I was splurging. The pumpkin spice fudge was creamy...More
Went for wine tasting. They offer a lot of complementary tastings. Most of their wines are extremely sweet. The sweet wine lover would absolutely love this place. Most of the wines offered were too sweet for our liking. They have knowledgable staff that help you...More

Which winery shop to stop by? (5 Replies)
Which 1 or 2 wineries would you recommend visiting in Door County? I'm traveling with some friends who seldom drink and therefore would likely wait on me while I dash in, sample a few wines, purchase a few bottles, and off we go to do other sight seeing adventures and go shopping. On past trips, I've normally stopped by the Door Peninsula Winery which has a wide selection of wines and do not charge a wine tasting fee. So on a limited time schedule, which of the 7 wineries would you recommend...More

Most of the wineries have other things to sample beside wine, such as flavored oils & vinegars, fudge, local Door County products. You don't have to be a wine drinker to enjoy visiting any of the wineries in Door County.
Best Winery and Brewery? (6 Replies)
My girlfriend and I are heading up to Jacksonport this weekend with a few other couples and we are looking for a good winery or brewery to visit. We are far from being wine/beer connoisseurs - just looking for a good place to try a few (or several) new drinks in the area. I have read the places below might be good options. Any suggestions or input would be appreciated. Door County Brewing Door Peninsula Winery Harbor Ridge Winery Simon Creek Vineyard & Winery Thanks!

If you are staying in Jacksonport, and plan on having more than a few, I would go to Simon Creek - just on virtue of location. I haven't been there personally, but I hear it's good. Door Peninsula is probably the biggest, and also now has their distillery, if you're into that (I love their gin). I think Door County Brewing is your only option up there for an actual brewery. Shipwrecked brews their own beer as well, but pretty sure only serves the beer at the restaurant (or to buy and take...More
