    The best wine
Great place to taste wine. Each person can taste 5 wines. They have a big variety and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend the Mead and Cherry Buzz. So good we had to order more after our trip. So glad they ship to the state we live in.

    Tasting and Tour
We loved that Door Peninsula lets you sample 5 wines for free; it definitely helped us pick which ones to buy, and the staff was great! Our tour guide was very informative and had personal anecdotes about the winery and distillery from her years of experience. We’d 100% recommend.

    Love this winery
We visited the winery and did the free tasting. Everyone gets to sample five different wines of your choice. We didn't do the tour as we had previously taken it so we sampled and purchased several bottles. In addition to wine they also make hard cider and sell lots of items that are wine related or make good accompaniments. We spent a lot of money but don't regret it or the visit. Highly recommend.

Fun place to spend some time
This winery had A LOT of wines that can be tasted. Many "fruity" wines and some of the usual wines we get at other wineries that we prefer. Also the winery has a lot of other stuff to buy, including oils. The Door County Distillery is in the same building and we sampled some good spirits there and purchases some wines and spirits to bring home.

Biggest Winery in DC - FREE Tastings
Largest Winery n selection in Door County! You can stop in and sample a tasting of 5 different wines for free. We stopped in about noon on 3/13 and gentlemen handling the tasting was great; friendly, offered suggestions. Totally loved the cherry mimosa, bought it and a bottle of peach for a friend. Also picked up a 2024 Door County Wine Trail Pass so it will be a few drives to do some tastings.

    Always a favorite!!
Love this winery! Plus now they have a distillery too!!! Something for everyone!! Haven’t been here since they added the distillery and renovated and added onto the whole building. It’s great. Always have to visit when in Door County. The wines are amazing!

Another casualty of the shutdown. They're not closed, but might as well be. No tours, rooms sealed off, merchandise scattered about like they fired whoever's job stocking was at the start of the day. Tasting is available, but it's just such a sad vibe to the whole place is like having a drink in a dead end drive bar.

My wife and I loved not only the wine, but the venue as well. They have a very large variety of wine available that will fit any palate - be it the most sophisticated food to the novice. Their distillery business is also on-site, which made it easy to sample all of their offerings.

We bought 6 bottles of wine - prices reasonable, would highly recommend.

My favorite was “Sinister” and my wife loved the “Cherry Mimosa”.

Very nice tasting. Have been to many wineries for tasting and this one is pretty good considering the precautions having to been in place. Had to wait in line as only three or four group tastings are allowed at a time. The wines are on the fruity side but very tasty.

We stopped at Door Peninsula Winery this past week, our first trip after COVID. They had outdoor tastings and drinks, with masks required indoors. The servers were wearing masks, and social distancing observed. There were umbrella tables and a tent in the front parking lot, so we relaxed with spiked cherry lemonade (delicious & refreshing) and wine; however, it was a bit noisy with trucks near the highway. The trolley did stop while we were there.

This is a decent stop when in Door County for the first time. For the next visits, it is a place to stop for a great selection of wine and liquor.

They have an extensive set of tasting rooms but only one was open when we arrived and, due to Covid, was limited to 10 people. We waited around for 30 minutes and browsed the store, but never were able to actually get into the tasting room as none of the 10 people left. Maybe when people are waiting they should have a time limit to move people through.

The gift shop is full of a LARGE selection of their wines and liquor as well as all of the items to go with them: glasses, stoppers, decanters, etc as well as humourous socks, towels, etc.

We've gone to other wineries, but always seem to come back to this one. The staff are nice and the wine is good. I was pleased we were able to do wine tasting despite the Covid stuff. The cherry mimosa this year is excellent and I can see why it is their best seller.

Door Peninsula Winery attracts customers (mostly couples and retirees) like Disneyland thrills young families. If you get behind one of several tour busses that unload - look out. Basically, get there early or you are not likely to find parking. Inside and out the winery displays wine, liquor, and gifts you are sure to love. The wait for the tasting room was long even around 11am so we moved on. They even have a spacious outdoor area now complete with fire pit and chairs. The staff is friendly, but they can quickly get overworked when people start to line up to check out. I'm not a wine drinker, but we always make it a point to stop in because we never know what we will find.

Had a great time at this winery very helpful staff, friendly, playful and gave exceptional service. We ended up purchasing a case of wines and splitting the cost saving 20% between us. Highly recommend the Halloween wine warmed….delicious

As locals, we come to Door Peninsula a couple times a year. Good selection of wines and free tastings make it an attractive place to bring visiting friends and family. We had a terrible experience this time, however. We were enjoying a tasting with a congenial woman, when some young pup (Kyle), intervened and took over the tasting, confusing the number of tastings that some of us had. They use chips to keep track of the number of tastings, and I rearranged the chips appropriately. Immediately, this young’un shouted, “Don’t touch the chips! I’m going to cut you off!” as if I was some unruly child. I am a 59-year-old woman and not used to being reprimanded by a disrespectful whelp. It was very aggressive. I don’t know if Kyle is related to the owners and has a permanent job here, but he definitely needs anger management classes as well as customer service education. It curtailed our purchasing because we usually will get several bottles of wine, but our group of six was so insulted by his treatment of an elder woman, that we left without buying anything.
