This is a nice, small village. The pamphlet from the Greene Store, where you buy your ticket, offered explanations of each building. We especially enjoyed the blacksmith shop where a volunteer blacksmith demonstrated how to make a “S” hook and talked a lot about his trade. We were disappointed to miss the “tool man” in the tool building. A quiet, peaceful setting.

This is a nice self guided tour of historic buildings from the area. We were able to follow directions and read the information about each of the buildings. Cost was in line with the site. The only negative I had was that the map was hard to read when it came to finding the last building. We walked a ways down the path, but were unable to find the last site which was located down the path past the toolshed. . When we visited the visitors center/restrooms were closed due to covid. This would be a great place to visit with family.

We recently visited and enjoyed looking around the grounds and in all the old buildings. We were happy that our pups were able to join us walking around the grounds as well.
We purchased some custom made items from the blacksmith and are looking forward to picking them up soon.
We walked one of the trails with our pups as well. It's a beautiful place.
Glad to see they also have solar and EV charging for people traveling with electric cars.

I can't believe Heritage Village is rated #29 of 41 on Tripadvisor. This is a terrific collection of historical buildings that are well maintained and thoughtfully furnished. Be sure to pick up a guide book at the Greene Store, and don't miss a thing. Enjoy a step back in time.

My family and I visited this place to see what life was like in the early 1900's. Fun place to visit that includes a blacksmith shop that is actually working!! Check ahead and you can take a blacksmith class.... maybe make a S hook that you get to take home. Wonderful homestead showing what life was really like. We really enjoyed our time here! $6 per person and 17 and under are FREE! Perfect for your family budget!

historic buildings from Door County - store, school, church, blacksmith, 2 pioneer houses and an antique tool museum. We did not walk on the trails as the weather was hot when we visited. But nice and cool inside the old buildings. Really liked the old schoolhouse.

Large amount of antiques in a bucolic setting but the exhibits need more signage to make them of higher interest level to children.

Very interesting place to visit. The older outer buildings share a lot of the history of the area. In summer the flower garden is absolutely beautiful. There are some nice walking trails that are easy to walk. The visitors center is very clean and has a lot of information to review. Bathrooms were very clean.

The best spent 6 USD ever. Several renovated and fully equipped houses from the 1900's. Nice people are running this compound. You should see the tool museum which is run by 5 brothers, they display interesting drilling machines!
