The first 2 sections of the tour were OK, but when came the 3rd Section a older guy came and punched my ticket for the 3rd section. I was stalling and he was rude and yelled at me to go the 3rd section. Then I was mad and wasn't able to enjoy the rest of the tour, I spent $29... More

What would you do if you had lots of time and an unlimited budget in the middle of rural Wisconsin? Well you could build a house on top of a rock and then fill it with a dizzying array of objects and wait and see if anyone else would like to take a look. Amazingly, the House on the Rock... More

We'd seen the signs and heard about The House on the Rock for years, as we live in Wisconsin, so when we spent a few days in nearby Spring Green, we decided to visit. Fortunately, we chose the shortest of the three tour options. The "museum" for the place, which is the first stop on the tour, is a self-congratulatory... More

I had visited as a teen LONG ago; now that my kids are teens I thought they'd get a kick out of it during our annual trip to the midwest. 3 carloads of my clan drove up. Easy to get to off the highway, nice shady parking lot. We bought tickets for all the sections and got some coins for... More

There is a lot to see, but it is extremely hot there. Very few parts are air conditioned. We were there during a heat advisory, and we were allowed to carry water bottles. Water bottles were 2.00 each. They said they had several refill stations throughout. There were 3, and the water was room temperature. There were plenty of interesting... More

This collection of weird stuff was, well, weird. My friends and I definitely felt it was worth the price to see the eccentric, strange collection of animatronics, dolls, carousels, as well as the oddly named "house" itself. It took us about three hours to walk through the three buildings. We went on a very warm day in July, and because... More

This place is weird. You will never see anything else like this anywhere else. There are a lot of collections. Takes you several hours to get through it's neat to see but sometimes smells kind of weird .

What an unexpected great time! The house on the rock is a great place to walk around. You'll learn about the amazing architect Alex Jordan and you'll get a chance to view the infinity room- which was our favorite. The house is filled with collectibles from all over the world. Check this place out!

We took the ultimate tour with our teenage kids and spent a fun 3.5 hours exploring this place. There have been a lot of upgrades since I was here about 10 years ago. Lots more history giving the background of the house and the collector who built this place. I recommend the Ultimate Tour to see the entire place. The... More
