This place is crazy, amazing, eclectic all at the same time. There is a lot to see(took us almost 4hrs). The carousel was beautiful, the music rooms are wonderful. The house... read more

We spent 6 hours touring the house and various attractions. This is one weird place while at the same time being amazing and inspirational. The site is part historical museum, part circus freak show and part Walt Disney fantasy land. I'm not sure if the creator was a genius or nuts but he has left a interesting tourist attraction. There... More

To anybody who is considering going here, you must know a few things before you go. 1. Be prepared for a lot of walking and to spend about 4 hours there. 2. This place is more for the antique/museum/history lover. 3. Some parts of the house itself may be a little tough for claustrophobic people. It's not horrible, just a... More

Bizarre, Weird, Strange, Odd, I personally did not enjoy this house at all. I am claustrophobic and parts of the tour go through some very low ceilings and close spaces. The lighting is very poor which I guess is what they want so you won't see what is there. I have never seen anything like it before and hope I... More

I've been through the house several times through the years. It is an architectural wonder. The 3 museum areas that are attached are amazing. So much to see that it's mind boggling. It is quite a bit of walking. About 2 1/2 miles of walking at your own pace. It will take about 3-4 hours to go through the entire... More

We spent 2.5 hours here. We did not stop to shop or eat. In fact we sat for 2 minutes to watch a music section and continued on. My thoughts.....loved the house and his idea of the hallway to abyss. Everything else I could go without! I thought it was weird, too extreme, and over the top crazy. It was... More

Although I didn't get to see everything the 1st time it still shocked and awed us. The amount of items to see your eyes and brain can't believe it. This time we did 2 1/2 days did section 1 and 3 one day 2 and the gardens the 2nd day. Section 2 is the longest. Some attractions were different and... More

We thought we come back here after 10 years the house itself has never changed there were a few changes in the other parts of the tour and a few things removed they have three stages of the tour it cost you extra for each tour and before it was just one price and a price has doubled since then... This place is crazy, amazing, eclectic all at the same time. There is a lot to see(took us almost 4hrs). The carousel was beautiful, the music rooms are wonderful. The house itself is great to walk through! To see the trees and rocks running through the house was neat. I personally loved the stained glass collection....so pretty. I went as... More

Firstly, if you are severe claustrophobic or fear of heights, be ready. I had to struggle to get through what seemed like a maze of ramps when towards end. I hate to say it, but it was a waste of time. Did not enjoy. It's odd for sure and soooo much STUFF. It lost my attention and my boyfriends fast.... More

It took us 4 hours to tour alll three phases and really, for us, phase 3 wasn't worth it, but for others, who really enjoy ecectic collections, it's worth doing once! If we go back, I'd stick with seeing the house, although to bring out the stained glass lamps the original owner coverd up the outside view with blue glass, so... More
