We spent a day there in August. Beautiful park and we loved swimming by the waterfalls. It's a small park but it wasn't too crowded. There was a ranger on site but he generally left people alone (unless someone disobeyed the no jumping/diving signs). We went with an 11 year old and he had so much fun it was difficult... More

There are many small, pretty waterfalls in the park that you can get very close to. We had a very nice hike in a loop that went past several of them. The covered bridge is a nice addition too.

Lovely place. Great access to the falls. Beautiful views. Easy enough to get around but the trails are not well marked and do require a modicum of fitness and surefootedness.

A very scenic park with small, but pretty falls and interesting rock formations. It has a covered bridge and trails winding along the river.

Visited with friends and family, waterfalls were gorgeous from all the rain. Definitely need to keep a close eye on children. Could not swim because waterfalls and river were way to strong!!

I try to come to northwest Wisconsin every year, and the first place I stop upon arrival is Amnicon Falls State Park. It is a beautiful park, well maintained, with lots of hiking trails, a couple of great places to swim along (and in) the river, interesting signage about the geology of the area, clean campsites, clean drinking water and... Easy place to not visit as its a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth the detour. Wonderful spot to stretch your legs and or have a little picnic. Very scenic and serene.

I am very sorry I don't live closer to this park, because it would be a wonderful place to hike on a regular basis. The river travels over many little waterfalls, which makes for a great backdrop on any day. It's a smaller park, so it was very quiet the day we went. Would recommend for anyone who loves to... Reminded me of something out of the Twilight series. Well groomed trails. Love the falls. Hope to go back again soon.

One of the best local parks with gorgeous gorges and a covered bridge and trails and picnic tables and not a lot of people.
