Went on the seven bridges trail in Grant Park this week. It was beautiful. It was a little cold (but we were dressed for it) but sunny. We walked thru the trail to the lake . Going over the bridges and seeing the trees changing colors was so cool. It was super windy so when we got to the lake, we sat and watched the waves for awhile. They were huge and so neat to watch. It was a Tuesday in October so we only ran into 4 or 5 people, so it was like we had the whole place to ourselves. Took many great pictures. We even ran into one man who frequents the trail often, and picks up all the trash along the trail. It is nice to see him do that, but sad that people cannot respect the area and not leave litter in the first place. This trail has everything: bridges, running creeks, stairs that are pretty easy to climb, ravines, stones to sit on and the beach at the end. I highly would check this out if you can.

Amazing park! This place has such great views, easy to lose yourself in it. It was very busy when we went, but most people were quiet and let you enjoy the calming of the running creeks and waves near Lake Michigan. Easily a perfect spot to propose or have professional photographs done! I definitely will be coming back soon.

Superb park. It's got everything you want in a park: beautiful lakefront access along with quality hiking trails and pretty creeks and old wooden bridges for the hikers to traverse on.
Grant Park is one of the best parks in the Milwaukee area. Much of it was organized and built during the Great Depression by the works programs put together by the Roosevelt admin to get people employed.

Visited Grant Park and enjoyed wandering down trails at Seven Bridges through the forrest. The park has no fees, is dog friendly and offers a full day of fun adventures for the whole family... enjoy a spa sensation while listening to the trickling water gently falling over the rocks along the creek, photograph the wildflowers and take in the song bird's happy tunes.

We enjoyed hiking the stone bridges that crossed over ravines and pretty brooks. The tree lined canopy provided shade on many of the paths. Wade in the cool streams and try to balance on the big rocks as you cross the creek. Cool off at the beach on the Lake Michigan shoreline.

Be sure to wear comfy walking shoes also maybe water shoes, and a towel if you plan to get wet.(sun screen too)

Pack a picnic lunch as there is plenty of picnic areas and green space. A camera is a must to capture all the beauty!

Be careful if visiting after a heavy rainfall as some of the stone trails may be slippery and the non paved trails can get muddy.

Beautiful shaded trails for all levels of hiking/walking. Very busy on the weekends with many beach goers- so we just peaked at the beach but it was crowded. Great views - create your own hike - long or short! Was a bit saddened by the amount of litter in the park and trail side but that is on the lazy careless individuals who visit and can’t manage to carry out what they carry in :( overall beautiful park!

First I'll start by saying when it comes to nature and parks, we are used to some of the most pristine beautiful parks in Wisconsin. We're also travelers who appreciate well maintained State, National and local parks when ever we travel in the US.

This park caught our attention by watching Public Television. We put this on our to do list and since we had a nice September day recently, we thought we would give it a try.

The park is showing its age, but obvious signs of trying to rejuvenate the park were there. We even saw a group of volunteers working when we were there. The issue with the park is the trails weren't marked that well and sadly, had been vandalized with people carving into trees and spray painting. I guess since this is a woods within a city, this could be expected, but where we come from people are more respectful of nature and natural places. There were too many reminders that we were in the city, to make this a real nature escape.

We appreciate the manmade trails and the overall intent of the park. The creek that ran through the property was drying up in certain areas. The beach was nice, but we witnessed a dog owner allowing their dog to poop in the very shallow water and didn't clean it up. There were many kids running around, so I was glad we didn't have kids or a dog at the crowded beach area. Kind of ruined a visit that I was really hoping to enjoy more.

In the end, I give the park an average rating because the views within the park are very nice, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here again. If you're traveling through I would skip it. If you're a local and need a nice park to take the kids to, go for it. If you want to enjoy a quiet walk in a pristine park, this is not your place.

Wide, groomed and/or paved trails. Absolutely beautiful and mostly shaded from the sun, because of the forest trees. Almost no litter. The lakefront is awesome crashing waibcm

Been here many many times over the years. The trails are nice, prettier in the fall and winter ( obviously ) but still nice in spring and summer. Walking access will get you to the lake eventually, and a decent beach area to check out. None of the trails are difficult but I can see where some parts would be a challenge if you had small children, a stroller, or had some issues walking. There is parking but it fills up pretty quickly. Lots of good photo ops, be aware of of photographers ( both professional and not ) there can be alot of them. Nothing you can't deal with though. Unfortunately, over the years, there are more and more sketchy characters that are hanging out in the park. Some can/will approach or even accost you. I hate even typing this one negative but I feel that folks should be aware of it. I'd advise going with a buddy.

The Seven Bridges Trail in Grant Park is amazing. An oasis in the city! It's a short trail, but it's beautiful! I wish you didn't get to the gorgeous beach and Lake Michigan views so quickly, but you can add on a few detours if you want! The trail isn't marked (at least as far as we could tell), so there were a few times we wandered and ended up back where we started! But it was a lovely trail on a beautiful day!
