They make a bread with olive oil!! It is FANTASTIC! You can get a sample when you get there and buy as big of a piece as you want. They sell it by the pound. A whole loaf would be very large. We buy a piece of it every time we go there. They have lots of great bakery items besides this particular bread. A TRUE EXPERIENCE!

This continues to be one of the most overpriced and poorly serviced bakery/coffee/restaurants in Door County. So many other choices, go elsewhere and be guaranteed good food and coffee at much better prices, including better service.

We decided to stop at the bakery upon recommendations of people we met in the area. We weren't disappointed. We purchased bread and other goodies. All that was purchased was delicious!

The Door County Bakery was always a place to stop, have lunch and indulge in great bakery. This time it was an absolute disaster!! I actually got sick from several bites of the flavorless water/butter broth with 2 whole oysters, a few chucks of celery and onion that they called New England Oyster Stew on the menu. It was accompanied with 2 1/2 slices of dry bread for $20. I ate 3 bites. My husband had a croissant with mediocre chicken salad, chips, old tasting cranberry slaw, and a pickle for $18. I went in to buy some bakery but was appalled at the prices. We left almost $50. ( with tip) lighter, and told friends who just arrived the story. We all left hungry, looking for a good bite to eat down the road. So sad to see a good restaurant go downhill.

The guy serving was passive aggressive. I wasn't sure if I was just reading the situation wrong, but he confirmed this at the end when he purposely added a larger tip than I agreed upon during the billing process. He asked twice for the percentage, so it wasn't a mistake or miscommunication. Also, they are grossly overpriced. I'm not one to care about paying for quality, but they have free range chickens that they call "Yard Birds™" and charge $8.00 for two eggs and $5.00 for toast. The food was alright, but in no way justified the price.
