We live 90 minutes away and had never visited this park/beach but had heard great things about it. Finally loaded a cooler with lunch and a few chairs in the car last weekend and embarked on a great day trip. The beach was beautiful and not overrun (there was a good breeze coming off the lake). Relaxed into some reading... More

Unfortunately, due to the high water level on Lake Michigan, we were not able to walk far on the beach.

We visited here later in the evening and it was still busy! The waitress we had was wonderful. Very attentive and friendly. We got the cheese curds and they were the best we've had! We ended up splitting the plow burger and got a Caesar salad as well. All the food was great! Not a single complaint about anything. The... More

One of the most beautiful Lake Michigan park near to Milwaukee. The dunes are beautiful and walking along the lake is breath taking. Nice to stroll along on a summer day and enjoy the lake breeze. Not crowed either. Love it.

Went here to photograph Senior Pictures last month. While the place itself was gorgeous it would be nice to have more bathrooms. We had parked at the Nature Center to shoot and unfortunately found them to be closed (not sure if they had bathrooms inside) we ended up walking all the way to the boat launch in hopes of finding... When I want a wilderness experience or need nature pictures, I drive just over an hour north from Milwaukee to Kohler-Andrae State Park--it's wild and picturesque enough bring both a big ocean and a deep forest to mind, heart and camera. North beach is my favorite for strolling and wading because the other is usually more crowded. Insects--especially biting flies--might... More

Lake Michigan is beautiful. They've done a great job with the beach and lakefront. There are plenty of activities to do at this beach and waterfront

This is a beautiful park at any time of day. There are several miles of well maintained cord-walk along with white sandy beaches that are perfect for relaxing. The showers and restrooms are well-kept; in peak times there is a concession stand open as well. This park is a fantastic example of the diversity and beauty of outdoor Wisconsin. We... More

Camped two nights in the tent, non-electrical area. It was lovely. Camp sites are well spaced so you don't feel like you're too close to your neighbors. Fell asleep to the sound of coyotes and owls. Wish the flush bathrooms were equipped with shelves or hooks so that when freshing up, you had some place to set your things down.

Beautiful park, seashore along Lake Michigan, small but clean beach, and absolutely pristine water. Think the North Beach is larger than the South Beach as there is more beach and less vegetation close by. But awful flies that bite! I don't think there is an insect repellent that protects you from the hordes of flies that descend upon you on... More
