Camped two nights in the tent, non-electrical area. It was lovely. Camp sites are well spaced so you don't feel like you're too close to your neighbors. Fell asleep to the sound of coyotes and owls. Wish the flush bathrooms were equipped with shelves or hooks so that when freshing up, you had some place to set your things down.

Beautiful park, seashore along Lake Michigan, small but clean beach, and absolutely pristine water. Think the North Beach is larger than the South Beach as there is more beach and less vegetation close by. But awful flies that bite! I don't think there is an insect repellent that protects you from the hordes of flies that descend upon you on... More

I googled plenty of pictures about this state park before arriving. So I had expectations that it would be beautiful. When I arrived, it was stunningly beautiful. No regrets coming to this park at all. Only regret is not finding out about it sooner in my life when the kids were much younger. This is hidden and rare beach! Not... More

Great clean beach and walking trails. Our kids had a great time. The beach did have quite a few people in it but was not overcrowded and left plenty of room for every one there to enjoy themselves.

We were driving from southeastern Wisconsin up to Door County Wisconsin and had a 4 hour ride with a total of 4 adults and 2 small children in two vehicles. We chose this park to have a rest stop along the way. We went to one of the dunes, played in the water, and took a hike. Dried off and... More

How did I not know about this place? I've lived a couple hours away for 11 years and never knew the beach was this awesome. We were just getting some beach time with the family for the day. Waves were 2-4, water was beautiful. Warm temps, sunny skies, light breeze, and decent sand dunes blocked out the rest of the... More

Sand was soft and awesome. Water was cold but breath taking refreshing. The only complaint are the biting flies. They were very annoying

We stayed in the campground, which were nice and well-maintained. Lake Michigan water levels were a little high this year which consumed some of the beachfront, but it was still very enjoyable. The water was shallow for quite a ways out. When we went in mid-july the water temperature was chilly but definitely tolerable for swimming. If you're looking for... More

Great shoreline and very nice hiking trails in the sand dunes. Great pick in areas and clean sand beaches.
