We two adults made a quick stop just to see what it was about while we were passing through. We spent nearly an hour! It was utterly delightful to hear the kids exploring and having such a wonderful time in nature with books - no electronic devices, no structured play, just BEING KIDS. We wandered from storybook to storybook, sat... More

A couple of friends and I took five youngsters, ages 4 through 7, for a day trip to Bookworm Gardens on the grounds of the U.W Sheboygan campus. More than 50 children's books come to life through areas to explore, pretend, and participate in hands-on activities. Each separate station has a mail box post with laminated books represented in that... More

On a hot humid summer day this free attraction was wonderful. Plenty of benches to stop and share a book throughout this colorful garden with tons of foliage, flowers and imagination. There is even a musical garden for your child to interact. Photo ops galore. Heaven for a seeing impaired child as you are encouraged to interact. The gardens depict... More

Wonderful place to spend time. Books and gardens. Not just for kids. Wander thru beautiful gardens that have book themes. And there are books hidden in columns that can be taken out and read right there in the garden. Pick up a map from the gift shop building. You don't want to miss anything.

If you have elementary school age children, a visit to Bookworm Gardens is a great experience. There are many "hands on" type activities for kids to do. The garden settings are beautiful. The entire site is about famous story books - each with its own garden and something to do there most of the time. Take your camera.

We took our 23 month old grandson to Bookworm Gardens. He loved it! Lots for him to investigate. I'm sure we will take him again in fall.

This is a wonderful place for families to visit. I have been there with my two grandsons several times and find something new every time. There is so much to see and so many books to read you can't see everything in one visit. As a retired teacher, I recommend a trip to Book Worm Gardens several times a year... More

There are not enough great words to discribe the gardens. Children and adult can get lost in the wonder of this lovely designed child wonderland.

This is an excellent place to take your family if you have small children. Lots of picture opportunities with "scenes" from some of your children's favorite books. Our kids had great time just running around and remembering characters from all the books.
