The grounds are a nice venue to enjoy a glass of wine. A relaxing pit stop on a day of scenic drives through the Baraboo Hills area.

Visited the winery just to try their newest wine creation, AU Pomme. A blend of apple wine and apple brandy. They need to go back to the lab, this wine is awful. Not the usual fine wine I am accustomed to from Wollersheim.

Great wine and distillery. The atmosphere is wonderful here. The place is kept up and absolutely one of the most beautiful setting. My only complaint is we wished they were open a little later on a weekend.

The new Bistro serves the best lunches you will find in the area. The Chef Roman trained in France at numerous styles of restaurants and bakeries. The food meets European levels of quality and eye appeal. Quests can eat in the centuries old winery building. Outdoor seating is available on the hill, above the winery buildings. Tables with big umbrellas are set among the beautiful setting of the vineyard. All is set up to meet Covid guidlines. My friends and I have enjoyed every meal from bruschettas, to carmel chocolate tarts. Local produce is sourced for the luncheons. The menu offers a wide variety of options. Pair your meal with Wollershiem's terrific wines and you will want to return often. The winery is family owned and their dedication and love for the winery is so evident. The setting is beautiful. I always feel like I've been transported to a European hillside winery. There is also a distillery with best brandy and gin I've every enjoyed. Take that side journey and enjoy the beauty of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin River valley is gorgeous at anytime of the year. So enjoy Wisconsin and a Wisconsin/Distillery/Bistro. All opens at 12 noon.

The Madison area is fortunate to have the Philippe Coquard family to provide not only wonderful white and red wines from local vintage, but a beautiful destination for a reasonably priced lunch. Food is prepared by French-trained chefs in the family with wonderful seating areas on multiple terraces and friendly and knowledgeable staff.
