We had a hard time finding the place to purchase our tickets compared to where the boat was docked, but it was definitely worth searching it out. The captain and the guide were very friendly and knowledgeable. The guide gave lots of history of the area, pointed out wildlife along the shoreline, and was entertaining as well. Our two children... It was raining and stormy about an hour prior to our departure and the company called us to say there would be a half an hour delay..to make sure it would be safe to cruise. They kept us updated and we did get to depart as anticipated. It did rain most of the trip..but had plenty of indoor seating and... More

We attended the "Fall Foliage Wildlife Cruise" 9-7-15. We were a little early for peak fall colors, but still had gorgeous, colorful scenery. Annie, our boat captain and narrator, was very knowledgable, but more importantly, kept her talk fun and interesting. She has a great eye for spotting wildlife that most of us would have missed. We learned so many... More

We took the 2 hour fall foliage and wildlife cruise. The boat was very clean, the staff very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife along the river. Can't wait to go again!!

When we arrived in Lansing we boarded the Mississippi Explorer, a boat rated to carry 98 passengers. We would spend the afternoon sailing through Pool 9 and Pool 10 of the Mississippi River. Capt. Annie Weymiller would conduct our tour, assisted by Bruce, a naturalist, who would discuss what to look for and explain what we saw. Annie explained the... More

The tour was very relaxing as we cruised through the backwaters and the main channel. The guide was very knowledgeable and the captain knew what she was doing. Get there early so you can sit in the open in the front of the boat.

As a former resident of the Mississippi River Valley, it was with great pleasure my friends and I joined Annie and Karen for a 2 1/2 hour tour of the backwaters of the Mississippi. The two women are pleasant and very knowledgeable. The boat was perfect! Dixie, the person who set up the trip for us was a pure delight!... More

We almost didn't make the cruise as it was hard to see the boat behind the stone wall. Thanks to the woman on the phone who gave us step by step directions so we got there on time. As part of a long weekend we took our granddaughter on the sunset cruise. We all enjoyed the cruise - did wish... More

My daughter and two teen grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the Sunset Wildlife Cruise. Saw a lot of eagles and a few other birds. Would have liked to have seen more wildlife but that cannot be controlled. The operator was knowledgeable about the wildlife. The cruise was very relaxing, we brought a picnic supper to eat during the cruise. It was also... More

Our family of four took this tour and had a nice time. Two hours was a little too long for our 11 year old daughter but she was fine. We enjoyed seeing Bald Eagles and deer. The captains are friendly and informative.
