The museum was nice but small and some of the interactive displays were not working. A lot of memorabilia that seemed to have a local connection. Again a nice stop but better when combined with the brewery tour.

Tucked away in the Amish farmland of Southwestern Wisconsin is the town of Potosi. The Potosi Brewing Company and the National Brewing Museum are located here, where beer was first brewed in 1852. The Museum has both a free self-guided tour, and for a nominal fee, access to more artifacts and history located on an upper floor. Lots of great... More

A brewery museum worth stopping to see. While your there, have a beer. Food is not great at the restaurant. A lot of interesting history for Potosi Beer

I was surprised by this tour. Noah, a master brewer and our tour guide made it fun and interesting. It starts out with 3 oz. samples of various flavors of Potosi beer of your choosing. As non-drinkers, we chose root beer, which is excellent. After sampling, each person was given an 8 oz. cup of favorite flavor of beer to... More

Very interested and well thought out displays. Wasn't sure what to expect when we arrive but we were pleasantly surprised and definitely will be back!

Potosi has plenty of brewing history packed into its museum. The museum has three floors and includes a rotating exhibit that changes about every 6 months, according to a worker there. Enjoyed watching the old black and white commercials from such Milwaukee beers as Pabst Blue Ribbon, Schlitz and Old Milwaukee, and checking out the many other artifacts, as well.... More

I was amazed at all of the cool beer memorabilia they had on display. Couple this with a Potosi Brewing brewery tour and you have a great afternoon of fun!

The Potosi Museum was much larger than I anticipated. The history was very interesting and the exhibits were numerous with 3 floors of great stuff to veiw. The restaurant was excellent and the Bar Tenders were AWESOME! We really had a great time after the tour at the Bar with the staff. We rented a Cabin right down the road... More

We were told about Potosi by a tourist center woman in Dubuque, Iowa. We were looking the something to do and she had marked our map. The brewery it's self was not open to tours in the winter, but the museum and restaurant were. We paid the $3.00 senior fare (which included a glass of beer at the end.) The... More

We spent about an hour or so wandering around the museum. It was all quite interesting. Make sure you stop by the restaurant for your free drink after the tour. The Potosi beer is quite good!
