There is nothing in Aviation quite the same as EAA and the air show they put on. Coming to a place where most people fly, instead of drive in, is a spectacular thing. I have been attending sporadically for about 25 years, but my grandfather has every year since it was held in Rockford in the 70's. Air shows showcase... More

Wasn't sure if I wanted to come here but the WW II Nose art exhibit won me over. The WW II stuff was great but the rest was just eh to me. Planes aren't really my thing but it was interesting

Took wife and son there for a visit, son has become a huge aviation nut and he was looking forward to it. First off most of the interactive things in there kids area were all broken and he was disappointed. Second you could not get near the planes to see the cockpits. Much better value is the Air Zoo in... More

We went on a tour for a field trip. The tour guide was engaging and so nice. She offered knowledge and insight about all the planes. The kids room was for the kids of all ages! There was a lot to interact with. The science behind aviation at its best. The kids (yes teenagers) didn't want to leave and wanted... More

We do the EAA museum every few years. They have a permanent exhibit, but also rotate in some really cool things from time to time. Our last trip was for the WWII nose art exhibit which was very cool!!! Better for older kids, there is some hands on stuff to explore.

An amazing display of aviation sure to captivate your attention for hours. Excellent displays with fabulous lighting and information. Best money I've spent in a while. Be sure to stop when you're in the area and have at least a few hours to spend here.

My 13 year old son took hours to read text, look at artifacts and loved all the planes. We loved Nose Art exhibition and stories about what inspired the artists.

We went to see Santa with the kids. They had so much stuff going on for the kids to do. We spent a few hours there. Lots of hands on stuff. It was so neat to see Santa land with the Helicopter. We could have spent more time looking at the regular exhibits but we ran out of time with... More

I really liked this museum. It has many interactive things to do and takes you through the whole history from the begining. Price is very reasonable for all the enjoyment you will receive. There is something for every age group and every interest in flying. Many kids areas for them to get a feeling of what it is like to... More
