Our family of three (2 adults, one newly minted teenager) took Trip #1 and it was just what we were looking for. It took us two hours start to finish (they estimate 1 hour, 20 mins), but we tend to go slow and poke around a little bit, exploring little offshoots from the river. We stopped at a small waterfall so my daughter could get out of her kayak and check it out. Karen (owner) didn't even know it was there!

Equipment was in very good condition. The kayaks are "sit on top" style, for more stability. They shuttle you to & from the launch & take out sites back to their base in North Freedom.

Everyone on staff wore masks (also required of guests on the shuttle bus). They powerwash all the boats in the morning, and did our boats again after we returned, lifejackets too.

It was a nice relaxing morning on the river, and the very small rapids at the Highway 12 bridge added a little excitement at the end. Highly recommend this company.

Beautiful river in rural Sauk City Wi, water was fairly slow moving and made for easy travel. Had fun with the family. Bring sunscreen and bug spray. Saw deer, and other wildlife.

Everyone was very nice and helpful, and the equipment is in good condition. We took a tandem kayak and a canoe with our kids (10 and 12). The kayak was definitely easier than the canoe 😊 the only real problem was that we expected this river to be like all the others we have canoed over the years, with plenty of places to pull off and play and explore. Unfortunately, there were absolutely no places to pull off and get out. So, if you are looking for that kind of trip, this isn’t the one for you.

Thank you for the review and kind words about our crew. Next time you come and paddle with us, we will help you find a trip that has opportunity for stops. We do have a couple routes with parks to stop at along the way. Hope to see you soon!

The staff were friendly and helpful but that is pretty much all the good things I can say. We did trip 6 and were thinking we'd be able to pull over on a sand bar or stop somewhere along the way. There isn't a place to stop, you are in your canoe for 3 hours and constantly dodging trees and debris. At $60 a canoe I would expect a lot better. If all you want to do is paddle then go ahead. I highly recommend canoeing the Kickapoo River where there are places to get out and swim a little.

Great company. Very professional. Very organized, clean kayaks. Friendly staff. They drop you off at the put in spot, and are waiting for you when you float up to the take out spot. Very impressed—-excellent value. Most of our 1.2 hour trip was easy floating. Last 15 minutes picked up with some little “rapids”, which was fun and easily handled by our 11 yr old.

Did the trip from Ruck Springs to North Freedom, absolutely a beautiful trip. Eagles where flying, young and white head. Seen a very large beaver, ducks, geese and deer. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous. The trip was exciting as you have to maneuver you boat some. Would recommend the trip from Tock Springs to North Freedom. Jake

Trip 5 - North Freedom Landing to Glenville Landing. IT WAS FANTASTIC! Went on July 4 ...5.5 hours in a tandem kayak...well worth the time. Calm, slow-paced, and rurally scenic to start, then faster-moving, small town cityscape to finish it. Great experience!

Everyone was very friendly and concerned with doing a good job. We had a very nice Old Town canoe for our trip. We were on the water 15 mins after arrival and off the water 10 mins after we called in from our take out.

Everything was perfect about my experience. They were able to take my reservation very late (I called at 10pm and they accommodated me for the following morning).

Staff was super friendly, the advised me on the perfect 3 hour trip for me and my 10 year old son. And they picked us up from our location without any wait.

This started off calm and slow, towards the city you hit some rapids and was a really fun ride! Be careful the rapids were not easy for beginners.
