I bike this tail every week and I can say the Illinois Section of the tail is hands down muc better. The trimming of trees or lack of and the tail surface is crap. Seems like it always had big wash outs our pits.

We rode from Monticello to Monroe. Well maintained. It's nice to ride a trail that has a lot of shade. Easy grade and very scenic. I would highly recommend this trail.

We rode the trail south out of Belleville for 5 miles. The trail is finely crushed rocks and well-packed dirt (unless it rains). Very shady portion of the trail, so nice on hot days. This portion of the trail goes through an old train tunnel,...More

I've been on most of the major bike trails in Wisconsin, & this is one of the most scenic. Most of it goes thru wooded areas but there is the occasional bridge. All of the towns along the trail are very biker friendly.

I love this trail because it reminds me of the El-Roy Sparta trail. It's to far for me to travel to. Belliville is around a 35 minute ride. The tunnel is unique because of bend. I have to say that its the best bike trail...More
