I bike this tail every week and I can say the Illinois Section of the tail is hands down muc better. The trimming of trees or lack of and the tail surface is crap. Seems like it always had big wash outs our pits.

I've been on most of the major bike trails in Wisconsin, & this is one of the most scenic. Most of it goes thru wooded areas but there is the occasional bridge. All of the towns along the trail are very biker friendly.
I love this trail because it reminds me of the El-Roy Sparta trail. It's to far for me to travel to. Belliville is around a 35 minute ride. The tunnel is unique because of bend. I have to say that its the best bike trail...More
