We drove over to see this section before shops and restaurants had opened. Not being familiar with the parking meter system it took a bit to park and figure out. A local street vendor was nice enough to assist us. Then we walked the blocks to see what all was there. Most of the shops opened at 10:00 and parking... More

From the market to the river walk and everything in between! So great knowing my daughter at college has safe places to eat as a celiac and safe places to visit! What an amazing place!

I felt the shopping was limited, food options were ok. The Public Market was ok, small when compared to Seattle's market... really small compared to Seattle's. I would not spend time here unless you have extra time to spend, Milwaukee has many interesting options worth visiting, rather than the Third Ward

This is a great tourist and rather quiet area to visit. It houses the Public Market along with other restaurants, music venue or two, and an open office (for freelances to work in).

Basically a yuppie scene; boutiques, bars etc.. The thing that makes this somewhat unique is the public market located there. Fresh seafood, cheese and meats abound.

We spent the night in Milwaukee on our way home from a car trip. The next day we walked around the Third Ward and were disappointed to find very little shopping. Major Department stores and such are at least 7 miles away!

Great afternoon wandering in and out of shops, even though it drizzled at times. Parking at meters is free on weekends, but hard to come by.

Often parking is scarce and traffic is slow in this neighborhood. My recent visit, for business, proved an inconvenience. Still, I recall, I have indeed eaten and imbibed well in the Historic Third Ward. Yet I'd hesitate to recommend this as an outing to anyone unfamiliar with Milwaukee, who didn't want to kill an hour or two wandering, or who... More

An area of older buildings that have been restored into shops, restaurants, galleries, offices, etc.
