We attended mass at this cathedral, which was originally built long ago. The inside is restored, gorgeous with tall stained glass windows portraying each of the Apostles, marble altars, cross-shaped worship space.
We were on a city tour and did not get to go inside the cathedral but the outside is spectacular! Love the cream city brick and details of the design.
What a beautiful sacred space. The Stations of the Cross are breathtaking and the most beautiful Stations I have ever seen. The stain glass windows help you to enter into prayer and reflection. The Cross over the altar is a reason to visit this historic church.
I had attended school nearby and went to Jazz in the Park across the street quite often in the past, but hadn't been inside the building in quite some time. Recently stopped in as we were in the area. It was pleasant, but I was just thinking that the Basilica on the south side…
we didn't have chance to walk inside the church, but from the external look, it's beautiful, and there is a park nearby, we have lunch picnic at the park, and can view the church and take picture of it's outlook.
