I am so glad that I visited the mansion/ museum of the Pabst beer baron in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This magnificent home would cost around $10 million in today's dollars and contains imported cherry wood and mahogany furniture and fixtures from Germany and many other treasured...More

Tour guide was excellent. She gave a real sense of time and place for Pabst and his family. Phenomenal home and an apparent "crown jewel" during its' time for Milwaukee. Fascinating story of a German immigrant who started as a 14 year old cabin boy...More

Stopped to see the Pabst Mansion. Impressive! To see this mansion being restored to its original glory is just magnificent. The floors, the walls, to the ceilings are just Wow! It's too bad that Milwaukee didn't keep the other mansions. It's called history.

Very interesting well worth the stop. Tour includes almost all the rooms of the house. First floor has much of the original furnishings. Would have been a terrible loss if the neighboring hotel had been able to purchase and demolish for parking. A must see
