We were there the weekend of Summerfest & the whole area was buzzing. No chance of finding a parking space under $25, & they appeared to be pre-booked. We parked by the cathedral & walked back to Festival park. The music wasn't to our taste so we didn't go into Summerfest, but we did walk around the gardens, fountains, marina... More

The park is a great reasonable priced entertainment. The events include several ethic festivals that builds understanding of the sameness and difference of people. There is food, music and dance -join in.

I've been to this park with both family and friends for Indian Summer Fest and German Fest over several years. We enjoy the way the park is laid out, the amenities it has, and the peaceful areas on Lake Michigan. We always look forward to the next festival. (We drive all the way up from a northern 'burb of Chicago.)

I've gone to Summerfest at it's current location since 1972. Back then, it was little more than gravel and some makeshift stages. Now, it's a permanent festival grounds with modern facilities. Summerfest is the largest of the festivals held there spanning a week and a half, always around the 4th of July. It is by far the best value to... More

Enjoy music and food of every kind in the most perfect of settings; on the lakefront in Milwaukee! Festivals at HM Festival Park run all summer long with different ethnicities and cultures celebrated: Polish fest, Festa Italiana, Germanfest, and Summerfest just to name a few.

As a DJ, it's weird that I loathe crowds. I like them when I'm entertaining them, but when I'm on the other side I get extremely annoyed and anxious! However, my son really wanted to go to Summerfest this year. He's 11 and is in his "live music" phase, which is awesome! The best thing we have done is went... More

Summeriest may be the biggest and best known, but this Lakefront location also is home to IrishFest, PolishFest, GermanFest, ItalianFest...you get the idea. Also concerts and other events. parking can be an issue (and expensive, depending on the event) but there is plenty all around. When the weather co-perates, it can be as perfect a place as can be found.

I have gone to these fair grounds for decades. I could walk it blindfolded. it is laid out nicely to listen to music / attend stages, walk the grounds and get food. What else do you walk. Toilets. They have plenty of those too if you can find them. Some complaints I have is more the people there, not the... More
