This was a great time for the family. We happened to be there on a day when a robotics expo was on display simultaneously, which only added to the fun. We really enjoyed the life-sized model ship, the opportunity to touch and feel live sea creatures, and the bed of nails. Did I mention there were axylotls?

Love that there are some unique features I haven't seen at other museums, like the weather simulation over the Great Lakes. We also loved the aquarium! My oldest really enjoyed all the machines. We got a membership and went back for their Science Fiction event and really enjoyed it as well.

Lots of hands on activities, art and science. My son loved the musical area. There is a giant sculpture that hangs down the center and contracts and expands slowly. Wonderful for kids, more geared toward younger children.

Our kids love it here, especially the aquarium. We practically have to drag them out to leave. This visit we ended up having to park at the art museum and walk because the lot was full. Other than that, we had a great time.

This could be a really cool place to visit but it was terrible disappointing. Many of the exhibits were out of order. The exhibits themselves are boring, misleading, or just hard to see what the point is, especially on the science and tech side. There is one place called "infinity mirror" that has no mirror. We have the Passport Program... More

This was my first visit here in which I brought my son which was then two. He loved it and I liked all the fish he could see. Probably will bring him back in a couple years because this place has so much to offer learning children. Living up to it's name Discovery World! It makes kids think and get... More

Discovery World is a Hands on Science Museum and Great Lakes Aquarium all in one. Kids will love the hands on activities, and don't miss the full size Great Lakes Sailing Ship hanging in the Aquarium wing, that you can explore. The aquarium is really cool, much larger than you would expect. Well worth the visit.

I brought my 6 year old son to visit. We arrived a bit late and only had 2 1/2 hours to explore which was not enough time there. I would recommend more since there are two sections and so much hands-on things to do. The view were amazing as well. As for the cost? Pricy in my option because parking... More

We brought our young daughter here. We knew they had technology related stuff but we also wanted to see the aquarium. We were very impressed with both. And I gotta say, me and my wife had as much fun as my daughter. We found ample parking in the garage below the museum. Prices were reasonable and such a short elevator... More

We visited with two young children and enjoyed it very much. The science and engineering building is aimed for visitors who are a bit older than our grandsons so we didn't stay long there; that will keep until they are older and can engage more easily with the concepts that are exemplified there. There were a few school groups in... More
