Great museum! Highly recommend a visit if in town. The streets of old Milwaukee and dinosaur displays were great! The planetarium show was a nice bonus.

Museum was truly well laid out. Planetarium is a jem while the butterflies (live exhibit) and the extensive exhibits on Native Americans especially to the Wisconsin area was great. The turn of the century street and European re-creation was really fun and informative to experience....More

My favorite part of the whole museum is Old Town. There you can see store fronts from back in the day and sit on a park bench by the fountain if you need a break. Other displays are nice as well, and liked the dinosaurs...More

This is by far one of the best museums in the country. The kids' favorite area is the Streets of Old Milwaukee. There are so many things to see and shows to watch. The planetarium show is amazing and so educational. I can't recommend this...More

Comfortable. There isn't a bad seat in the house, and Milwaukeeans know how to eat and have fun. Never having to worry about rain is a big plus along with the the opportunity of sitting outside on a nice day because of retractable roof.

This is an interesting museum, with a few flaws and some great exhibits. We went here and most of our group agreed it was a mixed bag in need of some updating. The Streets of old Milwaukee seemed out of place and boring (for lack...More

The Milwaukee museum is still a unique place to visit. I always find a few new things I did not see before. Still love the Dino’s and old Milwaukee. Secrets of the museum are always fun to discover as well.

Other than some of the museum's I've visited in Washington D..C., this is by far THE BEST museum I've visited, and I've visited hundreds of them in my lifetime. The exhibits are stunning! We were highly impressed with the realism of the displays. The creators,...More

I didn't go on First Thursday. I think even if it was crowded, you would be able to manage getting through the museum with minimal inconvenience.

I love the museum. Butterfly exhibit and streets of Milwaukee are great. Then there are different countries and times you can visit upstairs. They often have traveling exhibits. I think it is comparable. Smaller but some... More

All the answers make sense to me, really. I could spend a couple hours, or a whole day, depending on other commitments. Plus, because I live in the area I can always go back!
