We thought we could do this museum in an hour or so. You absolutely need more time. Best way is to see some of the exhibits, do lunch in the cafe and see the rest. Exhibits are very life like and impressive. Well worth 3-4 hours of your time.

This is actually a science museum with great exhibits and layout. The entrance fee is reasonable and food choices typical but very tasty. Lots to see here

Here for a private dinner...what a great place. The dinner was fabulous. We enjoyed the exhibits and learned more about this region and the history of Wisconsin. Great fun!

My family drove up to Milwaukee for an overnight stay over Labor Day weekend. We chose to visit the Milwaukee Public Museum as it was well reviewed for families. Our kids loved the IMAX theater, Old Milwaukee and European Village, butterfly garden, and interactive exhibits. It's like a smaller combined version of the Nature Museum, Field Museum, and Museum of... More

The Milwaukee Public Museum never fails to provide family friendly fun for everyone. Not only that, to go without children is also a delight! The Imax theater was just upgraded and is a spectacular show. The exhibits are relevant and wonderful!

We visited the Milwaukee Public Museum on a rainy Saturday in hopes of having a nice ( and somewhat inexpensive) day. However, I was dismayed to find out that the adult ticket price was almost $20. It was a little pricey but I would definitely say it was well worth the price. They had wonderful displays and interesting information for... More

There is so much to see and do from the museum, Imax theater, to hands on activities. Mondays are free which is really nice for families that want to treat their children to something nice and educational, but can't always afford those things. My favorite part is the butterfly exhibit!! YOU MUST DO THIS!!! You go into a glass room with... More

Our free days are the first Thursday of every month - we are no longer free on Mondays. The butterfly viviarium is definitely one of the mose popular exhibits we have in the Museum. Thank you for the review. More

The museum itself has been around for ages. And that could mean something great or something boring. In this case, it's the former. Though some exhibits are older, they're maintained with a sense of respect and care and they are truly fascinating. You can really appreciate the details in the exhibits and how much you're able to interact with different... More
