The place is a pretty cool place for a day trip. The animal collection from around the world is extensive and very cool. The dinosaur diorama is most impressive. Having the IMAX theater adds another activity to pack in. Very easy to spend 4-5hrs.

we went there on free day, we spend 3 hours, but it can be more or even a whole day if you want. There are 3 levels, I think the most interesting one is the European village and the old town of Milwaukee, it displays...More

We have spent so very many interesting days here, time and again, the children and me. The newest permanent exhibit encompassing Egyptian through Roman times is so impressive and helpful. We love the dinosaurs, the streets of Old Milwaukee, the Wisconsin historical exhibits on the...More

Had a lot of the same things as most natural history museums. Did have a butterfly house though so that was cool and a dome theatre thing. It was good for an afternoon.

Fun place to learn about the history of Milwaukee. Explore and learn. Lots of walking but is handicap accessible.

They try and showcase a ton of different things at this museum and they generally succeed. The Streets of Old Milwaukee exhibit was probably our favorite and stumbling across a "real" candy store near the back was a bonus the kids loved! Grand Rapids does...More

I remember taking my son to that dinosaur exhibit for the first time approximately 27 years ago. He is now 30, and still likes that exhibit. This museum never gets old. The butterfly exhibit is cool. Occasionally, they have that "stink plant." A good way...More

Good museum. My personal favorite exhibits were the "Streets of Old Milwaukee" and the "Crossroads of Civilization". There is a planetarium that we unfortunately didn't get to see as we were on a time limit, but the shows looked interesting. To tour all 3 levels,...More
