Came with my two teens and spent several hours walking around the various floors looking at the artifacts and dioramas from different cultures around the world. The planetarium was nice, but the show we saw was clearly geared towards elementary kids and was a big womp womp for my teens. Bonus is they gave out the nicest face masks I've ever been given (cloth with a metal nose "clip"), which made me feel we got our $15+ worth our of our entry fee.

I was in Milwaukee on a rainy Monday following a Packers game in late October. Needed something to do before heading to the airport.

Art museum was closed, so I decided to "take a chance" on this museum.

Exhibits were much more impressive than I thought. They spanned both time, from the ancient world, and geography for today's world.

The re-creation of Old Town Milwaukee was also quite enjoyable.

They also have some sky shows, which are included with ticket purchase. Though I think they're running a limited schedule during the pandemic.

There's a cafe on the entry floor, though I think it's also running on a reduced schedule.

Instead of filling up time, I had to cut my visit off after three hours to head to the airport.

We come here at least once a year, and it’s always a treat for the whole family. The streets of milwaukee exhibit is always a great walk through (and it’s fun to hunt for all the Easter eggs hidden there), and changes seasonally. And they have some exhibits that were preserved from the time the museum was first established, in the 19th century, which is pretty cool! Other than that, the museum is highly diverse, with awesome anthropology and nature sections.

This is a great museum. They have a "Streets of Old Milwaukee" exhibit, dinosaur models and fossils, a rainforest exhibit, and so much more. It is for the whole family. Allow plenty of time because there is a lot to see and something for everyone.

We spent several hours at the museum and especially enjoyed the Native American history and displays.Being from Chicago area and having visited museums there we all agreed that this museum had a lot more details on lives of Native Americans than other museums. It's not huge but packed with information. We have also watched a nice 3D movie on dinosaurs. The whole trip was a time well spent!

Walking through the streets feels like you are living in your Grandma's or Great Grandma's time. Kids and adults both enjoyed. The European homes give you insight into the different cultures coming to America. Go up a floor to see our first inhabitants and their cultures. The grand entrance of the pow wow is beautiful.

This was one of the best museums I've been to in the United States. I was expecting the same old same rocks and dinosaurs. Well they do have that, but it is also a fantastic trip through human history. The sections on native Americans were far superior than the Smithsonian in Washington. A wonderful place to be introduced to a wide scope of civilizations, ideas and science. Highly recommend it!

The "Defying Gravity" show is tailored for an elementary school audience so I was disappointed. That being said, the theater itself is very nice, with comfortable seating.

The rest of the Museum was great, covering a wide variety of topics of natural and human history. We spent a longer time at this museum than most we have visited.

Very kid friendly. When grandsons come from Texas to visit, want to visit museum and "Streets of Old Milwaukee". Easy access from parking garage. Never have to leave cover if weather is less than ideal.

My husband and I capped off a staycation (really dislike that word, but we there we are), with a visit to the museum and IMAX.
We went because I wanted to see the special exhibition on Poison, which was really cool, but nothing like we expected. I don't really know what we expected, but not that. It was very educational.
We also wandered up to the 3rd floor and saw an interesting exhibition sponsored by Northwestern Mutual. Very cool stuff, and different from anything we'd previously seen.
We also picked an IMAX movie on time. It was interesting, but definitely geared toward kids. Which was cool, just unexpected.
All in all, a really nice visit, especially when we hadn't been in years.
