Although it's only (maybe) 1/2 a mile long it does have some very nice views along it's 2 bike/hiking paths. {ALL wheelchair accessible!} It starts at the "Pier Marquette" lighthouse (replacement) and goes north to the Discovery World (kids') museum.

There is a good trail going around the park for biking and walking. There is really no shade or facilities. The views are great. It is wonderful on a breezy day. It is obviously an artificial island of landfill, so it isn't exactly lovely. Enjoy the views.

With the Milwaukee skyline just ahead the quiet, solitude of this little gem offers great views a cool breeze off the lake and opportunities to fish, walk, bike or just stroll.

We didn't make it here until the sun had set, but it was actually well lit and still had a lot of visitors, so we walked around anyway. Very pretty park! Great views of the city on one side and the lake on the other. Also close to cool museums and other parks. Overall, very worth a visit.

We walked along the shore front . Unfortunately it is overrun by geese the day we were there. Still a beautiful peaceful area to enjoy.

This place is on the lake behind the Summerfest grounds, which makes it unique and a touch of nature in an urban setting.

This listing is for Lakeshore Park, a fairly recent addition to the MKE shoreline. Great for walking and biking. Sometimes they have special events on the "Island". You can get to Lakeshore State Park from Discovery World, but if you want FREE PARKING, it's behind the Marcus Amphitheater. Drive all the way around the south end of the Marcus Amphitheater.... It was customary to drive the Lake Front "back in the day, from the War Memorial to just about Shorewood. It still is a nice drive and the stop at Lakeshore State Park. Many people forget this park's status. Take a few beach chairs along, some drinks and a few snacks or sandwiches. It's what people used to do. .... More
