Nice closed Gardens!!

Its a nice place to go on extremely hot or cold day, but can go any time. I like the view of domes from outside.

I've been going to the Domes for many years. That alone should give the feeling it's a great place to visit. If you're gardener or plant lover, outdoor enthusiast, or just need something to do for a couple, or few hours, you shouldn't be disappointed here. The seasonal dome with its changing themes give repeated visits something to look forward... More

The Milwaukee domes were constructed more than 40 years ago and have been iconic bubbles on the Milwaukee scene ever since. Unfortunately, age and wear and tear have rendered two of the three domes unsafe for visitors and required costly repairs. Hope that the funds and political support for renovation can be raised, as it would be a real pity... More

I visited the domes when I had some free time while visiting relatives in Milwaukee. I had been several times before and was never disappointed until this visit. Only one of the domes was open and I still had to pay full price! This used to be one of my favorite places to visit in Milwaukee...but not any longer.

This place was a bit of a let down really. I went aware from reading other people's reviews that two of the domes were currently closed, didn't realise there were three in total. Went in anyway and felt that it wasn't much more than you'd see in a garden centre somewhere, really nothing that special. Seen much better in other... More

The Domes have been a favorite place to take out-of-town visitors for decades. When there were safety problems with the Domes recently, I was so concerned that they would be permanently closed or demolished. I was delighted, then, to attend the first public reopening of the Show Dome. Beautiful as ever! Still a great backdrop for quinceanera or wedding photos.... More

I visit the Domes every time I come to Milwaukee. Always a great way to spend some time a view the beautiful gardens. Great for both adults and kids. Unfortunately, two of the domes (tropics and desert) were both closed for renovations and they are the more interesting ones in my opinion. They still charged a $6 per person admission... More

A fall visit did not do the full grounds justice, but the rainy chilly day we visited was warmed by the domed horticultural displays in an accessable facility. The cacti were a special treat. With time to spare, next visit will include some reading material so I can just sit for a bit and enjoy the ambiance of the facility.

Visited as a kid on a school field trip, then took my husband and kids back to see it many years later (1998 or so) It was cutting edge way back. The only other thing that I know of similar to it is the Biosphere near Tucson Arizona (which we saw in 2005) Each dome house a different climate and... More
