I grew up going to this place every year! One section is Desert, another has birds and is tropical and the last goes with the seasons. Christmas time is the best to go and see all three sections!!

We went today with a group of special need adults-4 wheelchairs and found out after we got there, that it was no longer free. They offered to let us in for the 5.00 fee. 85.00....for the group. We had no money, not to mention cold,raining...More

The Mitchell Park Dome is a place you must visit in the city! You Will have the opportunity to know the different types of vegetation of the tropic, wet Forest, desert, among others. An easy Waters to learn having fun!!!

Very interesting and informative--plants from around the globe in natural settings. The Christmas dome was extremely well done.We went during the day, but if your schedule permits, go in the evening. The lights will be spectacular.

Unfortunately those two (Tropical and Desert Exhibitions) are still closed. They are saying that they might open in fall. The admission is $3.00 for every person until the other two domes are open. The only one that is open... More

Yes, that would be a wonderful time to see the Domes - get out of the cold and enjoy the warmth and color of the beautiful flowers. Great little gift shop, too!
