If you are downtown this is a nice little park to have a lunch, walk around or fly a kite at. Normally very clean and enjoyable for the whole family

Great view of Lake Michigan with a lovely tribute to MacArthur. Exercise paths for biking, walking, or running. Near the museum ... $7 to park.

I spent quite a bit of time here the whole weekend I was recently in Milwaukee. I was staying quite close by at the County Claire and attended some events here also. On Friday night I walked to Juneau Park which over looks Veterans Park and checked out the view. Looked like a very large lake front park with lots... More

We stumbled upon this park while exploring the waterfront. Really wish we had more time to explore. A very nice place to walk, run or bike and enjoy the breeze from the lake.

I enjoyed waking through the park while my husband was in meetings. I felt very safe as there were various school groups, runners, bikers, etc. There are scattered benches, and the lake view was a nice change of scenery. I would definitely recommend a casual stroll at minimum in the park. The kayak rentals were not open for the season... More

Relax by the water or have a picnic on the grass. If you are lucky there will be kit flyers or frisbee throwers around. Be careful of all of the gnats though!

We've stopped by to see the funky kites in this photo. Also to see a new Naval vessel be launched out to see for the first time (tickets were sold out so we could only see it in port). The geese hang out around there a lot and we like to see them. They stay the winter when many folks don't... More

Wife and I started our walk to Veteran's Park from the Discovery Center on the Hank Aaron trail. It was beautiful. Many runners and stollers were out. We enjoyed counting all the kites abandoned in the trees. Path passes the War Memorial, Art Museum, and near the Children's Museum. A very short walk from downtown. Go get your Fitbit steps... More
