We did the sunset kayak tour and it was very nice. Our guide, Grace, was animated and interesting to talk with. We started in the Milwaukee River and then headed up the Menomonie River where there were less party boats out and about and got to see the colorful clouds and the lights of the city turning on, bit by bit. I was worried about mosquitoes but there were none and the pace was just right for us. They have a device that makes getting into and out of the kayak pretty easy. Really enjoyable.
Just wish we had known ahead of time about the nearby taco joint and bar/eatery at the launch/parking location; both looked like fun!

It was our first ever kayak experience and we were totally satisfied with the service provided by Brew city kayak.
I had expressed our concern to James and Trenton that our group of three including wife and 14 year old daughter cannot swim and are a little nervous about safety but they like to experience kayaking.
James and Trenton calmed our fears and made us comfortable during the 3 hours Milwaukee skyline tour. Trenton suggested that to make my daughter feel safe she could sit in the tandem kayak with Him. He helped us with putting on the life jackets. Me and wife were in another tandem kayak. Getting into the kayak and getting out of kayak was made very easy by the staff’s help. As beginners, we were struggling to catch up with the tour group, Trenton suggested we may split off into our own group so that we can enjoy the experience at our own pace. It gave us more confidence since Trenton was with us during entire trip. He gave good tips on navigating the kayaks. By half way mark, we were able to manouvre the kayaks and control the movements much better.
I’d like to thank Brewer City Kayak to make our experience totally safe, very enjoyable and memorable. Thanks much.

A group of 7 of us went all the way down to the Harp with Ian. He was great! 5 of us were beginners and he helped us the whole way. I felt very comfortable from the beginning. I went down a bit further than the group and returned 10-15 mins late and he was waiting for me to make sure I got back. Will definitely do this again when I visit next month!

Brew City is arguably the best kayak rental service in the city. They have very reasonable prices for a few hours of rental and offer a number of kayaks for groups of all sizes. We had a large group and did not have any problems; the staff were friendly and gave relevant information to have a fun kayaking experience. Kayaking is a great way to see MKE and I plan on bringing visiting friends kayaking as well. I would highly recommend.

Great way to see downtown Milwaukee with family, friends or even going solo. Don’t be intimidated, you have two rivers to choose from. The Milwaukee river has some boat traffic, amazing views of buildings, Murals and draw bridges. The other river option is the Menominee river, less boat traffic if this is a concern. We rented two tandem kayaks for a four hour window and chose the Milwaukee river, no disappointment. The other option would be a tour led by a guide, less confident might want the guided tour option. Good idea to have a dry bag if your planing on bringing along, wallets, phone, keys etc. If you don’t have a dry bag, they sell them for $20.00. Some restaurants located on the river have availability to Moore your kayak. Remember to keep track of your time if you decide to make a stop.

This company made our day such an amazing experience. They went over and above to make us comfortable and our tour guides went the extra mile when one of our group members got nervous. The launch was easy and effortless. I highly recommend them and if I ever visit Milwaukee again I will go back! The best customer service!!

Seeing the Milwaukee River by kayak was an amazing experience. To take in all the life on and around the river on a summer Saturday was exhilarating. It's a way to see a city from a whole new perspective.

My husband, middle school aged daughter, and I enjoyed a few hours kayaking with Brew City Kayak last Sunday. We rented one single and one tandem kayak which was a perfect choice for staying together with different strength/skill levels. I was happy that the tandem was easy to navigate as I've had experiences where that was not the case. We wandered down the quiet part of the river toward the Harley Davidson Museum and stopped for an excellent lunch at Blue Bat Kitchen, tying up our boats at the dock below. It was a perfect end of summer experience and something out of the ordinary. Definitely a great way to see Milwaukee - bridges, trains, murals, riverwalks, luxury condos, and restaurants. Fun, new perspective! Thank you to the great staff at Brew City Kayaks who made it an easy choice.

I was looking for a chance to get out on the water now the weather warmed up. I found brew city kayak when we were out to eat in walker's point. It was great. they are right where the Milwaukee river meets kk river and it goes out under Hoan Bridge to the Milwaukee marina. So we paddled out to Milwaukee Marina by the Summerfest grounds and looked at eh Milwaukee Art Museum then paddled back in. The kayaks were great easy to get in and out even though I'm 6'5" and don't kayak very often, like once a year if that. Next time my wife and I will paddle up river and stop and a bar or restaurant on the Milwaukee river in Third Ward or something.
