Great to get out with my family. Had a rare weekday off, and we spent it with Jake and Captain Mike on beautiful Lake Michigan. They were true professionals and made sure everything was taken care of. We enjoyed the boat and the memorable boat rides to and from our fishing spots. Great scenery. My 3 kids could not wait to catch some big fish, and were delighted to catch Lake Trout, Coho Salmon, and Rainbow Trout! They won't stop talking about it. Thank you!…

We are from out of State and this was the most ridiculous thing we've ever signed up for. Let me mention that Jake was fantastic and eased us in. Captain Mike was terrible. To go on his boat and to be called "mothereffers". Captain Mike never introduced himself, never gave us instructions and made the whole 5 hours the most awkward trip ever. To be continuously disrespected by Captain Mike because we brought a few beers on the boat to whom, he allowed us to do so and then to be treated like inhumanely. Captain Mike, from an owner to owner, you should never treat people of color rudely. We were so excited to go on this charter and of course the worse had to happen. Our friends did not have to get bashed by names nor get ridiculed by you. It was so uncomfortable, but we want to thank Jake for being the MVP and trying to ease us in because of how rude you treated us.…

“A few beers” is a bit of an understatement. This group showed up with some members intoxicated. Still they were nice, friendly and excited to go fishing. Part way through the trip one of them, obviously sick from too many drinks and some wave action, said she needed to use the restroom. I advised that being down below would exaggerate her condition. Telling me she needed to use the toilet, she went into the cabin. After a bit of time, her boyfriend went down to check on her. She emerged, obviously very seasick. He stayed down below and I assumed he was in the head cleaning up her mess. After a while I went down below to see what was going on. I found him sleeping on my couch and a beer spilled on the couch, table and floor. One thing that was correct in her review was that I did indeed yell at them. I am not sure why she found the need to mention “people of color” because the only thing that differentiated these people from anyone else was their obvious lack of respect for others and their gross overindulgence in alcohol.

My two daughters (14 and 16) and my Dad (76) and I chartered Captain Mike’s boat on an early Sunday morning in August. It was great. My youngest daughter has always wanted to catch a big fish, and Captain Mike and First Mate Jake did not disappoint! Communication was fantastic. The fishing was great. Mike even rescheduled our original trip because of 5 foot waves instead of just taking our money and having everyone be miserable. He really values you and your family having a good time. Mike and Jake were both very knowledgeable and friendly. We are total novices and were able to land 10 big fish with no problems! Highly recommended! Mike and Jake: we’ll be back!…

Great captain Mike and first mate Jake...caught 4 species of fish...caught 11 out of 16 hits...very clean boat !
