We were looking forward to this easy hike to the falls only. Once we paid our parking fee, we stepped on the grass and were SWARMED by what I assume are Deerflies. My suggestion is to get in the grass area on the trail before...More

This trail was washed out but has been restored and now includes many improvements, such as a large parking lot and footbridges where necessary. The short hike to the falls is easy and very steady on a gravel path. You can then continue on to...More

Morgan Falls was more than we expected! And the hike to St. Peter's Dome was equally impressive. We enjoyed the unexpected mini waterfalls and creek crossings along the way. Even saw a whitetail deer on our way through the woods. The trail was muddy in...More

Trail is still closed but the road is open. We parked and hiked anyway. This is the buggiest trail I've ever been on. We were swarmed by mosquitos even with bug spray. The walk to the falls is short and easy but you will need...More

We had stopped at an information center in Ashland and they told us about the waterfalls and how to get there. We drove there through many miles of gravel roads to find out when we got there it was closed. There was another car there...More

Flyers were posted in all the parks, restaurants and gas stations indicating that these sites are closed until further notice. This was on Sept. 30th, 2016. Heavy rains earlier this summer have caused lots of damage. We were looking forward to visiting, but we'll have...More

The falls can get a little busy during the weekend, but the trail up to the Dome can be steep and a little treacherous after rain, so not as many people venture up. Unfortunately, road access to this site is closed on both sides due...More

I've been excited about coming here since I booked my vacation in January! Took us a bit to actually find the place, County C is like in 4 different areas but we got to see a lot of the National Forest. There has been a...More

This is one of my favorite waterfalls in Wisconsin. Driving into the parking area for the falls and dome there are streams of water to view in the ditches near the road in spring sometimes, which gives you a jungle like feel with all the...More

Beautiful view, must-do hike if you are in northern Wisconsin. Trail is an honest 3.8 miles there and back and can be rugged and mostly uphill going to the overlook (but you knew that, right?). Try to go during off-hours/days as the overlook isn't very...More

We asked that question after going there and finding out it was closed and they said last year the area received around a foot of rain and the damage was terrible and they have not been able to reopen
