This part just a couple miles north of Mellen, WI is worth a day trip. There is ample parking and if you're into camping there are many campsites. The main feature of the park is a walking trail around the Mad River and the waterfalls that have resulted from the river cutting through the rock. The trail was created by... More

Great park! The trails around the falls and river are well maintained, and beautiful. Pictures at multiple places along the trail. The observation deck provided a great view.

This seems to be a hidden gem of the north woods, we were told about this by a friend and he was spot on. Although if you are from the area everyone seems to know what a great park this is. We took the shorter loop to see the three falls and the fire tower, and what a view from... More

The 'doughboys' trail is a well planned loop that has areas to see many views of several falls. It's well maintained. There are a few areas with steep steps that might make it difficult for some. We try to stop whenever we're nearby because it's beautiful and refreshing in all seasons. A perfect break from driving!

Great leg-stretcher park for a short walk and beautiful falls after driving or riding in the area. Well worth the 1-hour fee!

This park is sort of a small version of big national parks out west. Photoghraphers: at the far end of the trail go under the bridge and shoot the river bed. There are all sorts of things worth capturing.

It was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately it rained the night before and was cloudy so trails were wet and wasn't as great as it would have been if it had been sunny and dry. Definitely will go back!

Great trails, beautiful views. Observation tower views left some to be desired, but was a nice place to hike to nonetheless. Very very nice state park.

Nature certainly left its' touch on Copper Falls. What a beautiful area. The state has done an excellent job of keeping the park, trails and buildings in great shape. Food is available for purchase. There were clean inside toilets. All trails were well marked and signage along the way explained what you were looking at. The 1.7 mile hike we took... More
